Vacation rentals in Unguja South Region

We stayed at Jan's Surf Villa for one week in Feb'24. Jan provided good help before the trip such as reliable and cheap airport transfer/taxi, tips for shopping, tips for visiting places around South West Zanzibar. We loved the Surf Villa, it is very spacious, good enough for 4 people (even 6 ppl if 2 want to sleep in the living room), the kitchen is well equipped, with coffee machine, juice mixer, electrical bbq, oven, stove, cutlery, pans, etc. The fridge is big and works perfectly. Includes a freezer, where we kept our food frozen. There is a large supermarket and Alcohol drinks shop just across the road, walking distance. Space of Living/dining is fantastic, with open windows covered with a grill featuring natural fresh air coming in the evening. Location inside a walled property with 24/7 security. The villa is surrounded by a forest of tropical trees, that provide excellent shade. There is A flawless BBQ pit with wood. 5 min walk to the beach ! Unforgettable!

What a great place! Set in a beautiful, well maintained garden and literally just 10 seconds from the most beautiful beach we encountered on our holiday in Zanzibar. It was really the perfect stay! Hassan was extremely responsive and helpful in his messages. Abdi was so great to assist us with drivers to take us to different outings (Jozani forest, Maluum cave, boat trips etc). We even had a coffee plunger in our kitchen to enjoy the great coffee that we bought in Stone Town before we came to Jambiani 😃(none of our other airbnb’s had one). Jambiani is truly a wonderful tranquil place, with the friendliest people.

Perfect get away. The friendly Maasai guards oversee the property and escort us everywhere. The property is an oasis very near a beautiful, multi-blue, secluded beach. The wifi was good enough for my FT remote work. The power outages were short. Kitchen has everything we needed. AC and fans were awesome. Expect to see lizards, ants and a few spiders. We are in the village. The bed was too comfortable. I would build this exact house and decorate exactly as they have if I had land in Costa Rica or anywhere beautiful. The colors, textures, thoughtful touches and the BREEZE make this place a gem. Returning in May with our kids. The Maasai get our food for us and are so friendly. The local restaurants (not on the beach) are reasonable. We request to pay in TZS vs USD. Fresh fish and bottled water can be delivered. We love it here. The host cautioned about the ants. Keep all food secure and clean up quickly after meals. Waste no time. lol

This villa is in a walkable location. It is very close to the bank and local restaurants. However, there were moments when the lights went out and the WiFi was not very reliable. The rooms were tidy and well maintained. The gardener, Siri was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and tourist attractions. I had a wonderful experience!

Residence close to everything, very secure and quiet. The lagoon at the end of the home and the trampoline is perfect when staying with a child. Very good quality WiFi. Mars is a responsive and welcoming host, I would highly recommend during a stay in Paje.

I stayed ten days in October and everything was extremely good! My expectations were met many times over - the location om the beach, the aprtment's terrass, the host Ovi, the weather, the water, the food, the people in Jambiani! I will definitely return to Ovi's apartment & his hospitality. I would give the overall impression twelve points on a ten point scale.

Dan & Ann-Sofia’s place is one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in Tanzania. The apartment is cozy, well built and less than 10 minutes from the beach. We look forward to visiting again! As hosts, they were very responsive to our questions and needs, which was especially helpful while traveling with our 6-year-old.
