Cotopaxi Loft - History, Design & Innovation

KellyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I have stayed at AirBnb’s around the world and Cotopaxi Loft is probably the nicest one I’ve ever stayed at! Everything is gorgeous inside and the view from the bedroom is absolutely incredible! We loved hanging out on the rope platform on the second floor, it’s so cool! It’s in a great location, close to the historic center and walkable to a lot of different sites. The host is very responsive and will answer any questions you have throughout your stay and she also sends you a list of recommendations and things to do! Ecuador is going through electricity problems right now, so the electricity is turned off at different times throughout the day/night, but Judith lets you know what time it will be shut off so you can prepare accordingly! I highly recommend this place, it made our stay in Quito one we will never forget!!

Cabin overlooking Lake San Pablo, Wichi Lake

MartinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Good host, friendly and concerned. The road to get there is a little complicated so it should be recommended to go with not so low cars. And to comment that due to issues of light cuts there may be complications in the sector, so you should bring your own food or something similar. From there everything else was a good stay and nice place. It had everything described in the listing and the check-in instructions were clear.

Townhouse in Cotacachi

Large and comfortable house, colonial style.

I LOVED Susana's place! First, I was honored to be able to stay in her grandmother's home. I envisioned what it must have been like when the grandmother built it. Second, Susana did a magnificent job of updating the house. It feels like she hit the perfect balance of keeping the old charm while making it very comfortable for a modern guest. I love the courtyard, the fun windows, the arched doorways, and the old, dark wood. The kitchen appliances are newer and more modern than mine in the States and the beds are super comfy. One thing I loved is that this is centrally located on a town square so the view right out the door is of an old church. You can walk anywhere and get anything easily. The only downside (to some) may be that the location carries the sounds of life as it goes by in Ecuador. If you want silence, go to Montana and avoid Ecuador altogether (where dogs, roosters, buses are always going), but if you want the real deal in an authentic house, this is the one!
