Lake house vacation rentals in Traunsee

Constanze's spacious lakeside home was a gem of a find! An idyllic location; gardens leading down to the jetty & lake ; amazing views across to mountains; excellent scenic walks to either end of the lake; train station 5 minutes walk away with regular, reliable service to Salzburg & elsewhere. We made the best use of this beautiful house & location & the wood burning stove was very much appreciated on the cooler evenings! Constanze was a great host, was there to meet & greet us & with excellent communication via phone too & we have no hesitation in recommending her lovely home.

Really lovely traditional Austrian Accomodation. Right in the centre of St Wolfgang. Easy to get to lots of places and very welcoming.

We stayed at apartment no 6. The other rooms seem to have better views but the views from our room were okay. The location is great and the place was clean. There is only an electric kettle in the room. We checked the previous reviews and brought our own stuff. The seecafe next to the accommodation is cute and reasonably priced. Please note that if you’re coming by car, park at P1. Parking at P2 is only available till 20:00.

Great plave to stay. Very well connected to public transport (arrive easily from Vienna via train). Stay is right in front of station. Also, bus station to get the bus for Hallstat is also 50m away. Also Andrea is a superb host, very helpful and responsive.

Check-in went smoothly, communication was pleasant and the house + garden were very charming and clean.

I can echo other reviews- this place is just lovely- quiet, clean, spectacular views, and the friendliest kindest host you can hope to find! Absolutely loved our time Hallstatt and so glad we stayed the night, as our stroll through the quiet town after the day’s busyness was just magical! You will not regret staying here:)!

Very nice owner and the room is very clean and cute. I will come back again and the location is very good. Besides the wolfgang Markt bus station.

The house is very comfortable, but more importantly provides a genuine Austrian experience. The interior and furniture is comfortable and authentic. it is situated directly on the lake walk. we enjoyed seeing cows outside the window, and snow capped mountains. This is an area of Austria you should not miss!

Excellent stay in peaceful village surrounded with mountains. Turquoise water lake is in a short walking distance. Olesja and her husband were extremely friendly and hospitable and all information about local attractions were provided. Very pleasant stay! Definitely will return to Hintersee on my next visit! Beautifully placed next to a lake, the house was all we needed for our stay. Christoph was very responsive and we highly recommend this cozy home!

Andrea was very friendly and the accommodations was very clean, the main issue is the transportation from/to Hallstat it was limited… also the price is very expensive 🥲

The house is perfectly located. It is very near to lake Attersee and approximately 2km far from beautiful waterfall - Nixenfall. Also city Hallstatt which is very nice is approximately 35min. far by car. The house is very large, fully equiped, with garden with beautiful view on rocks around you. You have also private parking on the short road next to house. Anna and Ben had very quick response on our questions and were very nice. If you are looking for good starting point for your hikes or just house for resting from normal life and near to lake (approx. 1km), this is perfect choice.

Ingo and Barbara were pleasant and friendly, with willingness to give advices on possible trips in the surrounding. We could rely on them in case we would need anything to discuss. Equipment of the household was highly above standard. Even out of season is opened nearby restaurant. The whole stay was refreshing.

What a wonderful view around this apartment. The apartment definitely met our expectations. It was sparkling clean and everything we needed was present. Comfortable, cozy house, fully equipped, an excellent choice for a large company. The ski resort is 20 minutes by car. Sandor is very attentive, always ready to help and answer questions. We really liked the wine cellar. It was nice to receive 2 bottles of wine as a welcome gift. Thank you very much Sandor, we recommend staying in your house

The communication with Sandra was wonderfully not to mention the really fantastic accommodation. We booked very spontaneously and yet everything worked out very well. Late check-in was possible, which is why we were already able to arrive at night. We were also very happy about the folder with activities in the area, because despite the unfortunately bad weather, we were able to make the most of the time. The house is very nicely built and well located - the treetop trail and summer toboggan run are a real recommendation. Also the walk-through room for us no problem, as the boys could sleep together as in a large room as in a large room and the girls downstairs had their own room. Thank you dear Sandra, I'd love to come back!

This is one of the nicest Airbnb properties that we have stayed it. It was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Rouven gave us lots of helpful tips of places to visit which made our holiday better. The location was excellent for visiting Salzburg and the surrounding lakes. There was loads of space at the property for a family of 4 and the garden was lovely.
