The attention to nature and the level of detail that went into designing this property is what makes it the perfect hideaway. Take the time to read the story of how their vision became a reality. The views of the mountain are stunning but there is so much more to see! Carefully constructed trails lead you around the property where you can encounter tui birds, fantails, native flowers/plants, glow worms and the residents farm animals. We appreciated all the recommendations for things to do and loved the vibe of New Plymouth. Don’t pass up an opportunity to stay here, even if it’s only for a night.

The drive from the National park to stay here was totally worth it for us. The views of the paddocks, mountain, and grassy hills were incredible and the tiny home was perfect for what we needed. We loved the outdoor tub at sunset watching the horses graze. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It exceeded our expectations and was in a lovely rural peaceful location but close to the start of the shuttle for the Timber Trail. It was spotlessly clean and well appointed and Alli was the perfect host

One of our favourite Airbnb's to date: beautiful countryside, quiet, and an incredible night sky to view the stars! Great location for all local attractions and tons of details from Biddy to enjoy your stay. I highly recommend the private "Misty Mountain" hike -- walking among the sheep, goats, rolling hills and tropical brush.

It was hard to leave the Treehouse after 3 nights. Tim was very friendly host who made us feel right at home and helped us coordinate with Tongariro Alpine Crossing shuttle when we had a schedule change. We loved staying in such a fascinating, beautifully built, private treehouse perched over the forest- enjoyed clear view of volcanoes one day and foggy, misty view another. House was warm on its own on sunny day and cozy with wood stove going on rainy day. We loved exploring the property and the gorgeous view of all the surrounding volcanoes. Very quiet and private little house. With an absolutely stunning view. We had some issues with the toilet but Jack was very quick to help us. The kitchen has everything you need for a short stay. And you have the cutest neighbors, namely some cows and sheep.
