Cottage vacation rentals in Thousand Islands

this was our groups second time staying at Victoria and Mervyn's place, and we'll be coming back again. beautiful secluded location, hot tub, fire pit, nice open space with many bedrooms. when an issue arose they were very quick to fix it. we'll be back! thank you!

Greg’s place is a perfect cottage: homey enough to feel comfortable yet special enough to feel like a treat. The view out the huge window is a lovely mix of sloped pathway/stairs, trees, lake, island in lake and more lake in the distance. The main room has the most comfortable couch and the 500 movies include something for everyone. We especially loved the wood-fired sauna down by the lake. I hope to stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at the LA LA Land cottage! It is really relaxing, quiet, clean, welcoming and comfortable! We are really happy we booked this cottage. The spa is great and it is close from Bon Echo National Park. The host is responding really fast and he is very helpful. We will go back!

We loved our stay at the cottage! It was so relaxing, and cozy, and quiet. It was perfect for a writing retreat, and for a hot soak or sauna after a day work. The kitchen was really well stocked, the furniture and furnishings are in excellent condition. The windows look out onto a beautiful lake and the sunsets are magnificent. When we arrived, we had trouble getting into the lock box that held the house key. It could be that it was just freezing, -20 with the windchill, and it took us about 10 minutes to figure it out! Brrr. Once we got in, we got the fire going and all was well. If you travel there in the winter, it is a very steep road when it is icy, and if the road has not been recently sanded. Our cars were stuck overnight and the sanding truck that was contracted to do the driveway was broken, so we ended up spreading bags of salt and sand by hand in order to get back up the hill. It is a fabulous place to get stuck, especially with great food, wine, and friends!

The views from the property are truly unmatched. Although there is a lot to see and do in the surrounding area, our very favourite thing to do is to enjoy the cottage and admire the sunrise, sunset and the wildlife around the lake. Rachel and Ken are wonderful, responsive and flexible hosts - we can’t wait to be back.

We loved our stay with our family and four legged friends! Great location close to our family and easy travel to Elgin for food and Westport for shops and Brewery!

I'll admit, based on the reviews our expectations were high. They were exceeded in nearly every facet of our stay. We desperately needed ( election fatigue) to get away and have a week of peace, quiet, and serenity. Danielle and Jorden's home was perfect. there was not one single time while staying there that we looked for something that didn't exist. The bathrooms and kitchen are fabulous, and all are very well appointed. The radiant floors in the ensuite bath were a nice touch. The location is ideal, you are right on the lake with wonderful views from both inside and out, and despite having neighbors, it feels incredibly private. We had one small mechanical issue which Danielle took care of immediately. they were a pleasure to speak with, and their response time was always nearly immediate. The locals were incredibly friendly, the supermarket is just across the lake, and there's a nice dog park for those bringing their fur babies. We look forward to a returning to this ideal spot.

Davids place was beautiful and made for an enjoyable stay for our group visit. He was responsive and provided all additional details both in our chats as well as leaving a small booklet in the cottage itself highlighting places of interest nearby. The firepit and the gazebo are the most impressive parts of the property. Wifi coverage inside the cottage was fantastic and was very useful for any further research since the cellular network coverage is spotty at best. Bon Echo is just about a 20 minute drive away and there are more places within a 1 hour radius though we chose to mostly have a leisurely time on the property itself. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, private fun time in the middle of nature.

Our stay was great! No issues whatsoever, host was accommodating and friendly, house had everything we needed, we stayed for work, so didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit with wood provided which I thought was very nice of the hosts! Water was not potable but the hosts leave you lots of drinking water, and water to make coffee!!

We spent New Year’s at Leah’s place, and it was absolutely amazing. Her guest house is so cozy, and she’s an incredible hostess. Not to mention, her place is dog-friendly, which made it even better! It was such a memorable way to ring in the new year.

The host was incredibly kind and accommodating, allowing us to check in a bit early. The personal touches really made the place feel like a home away from home. We had an amazing stay at Caroline’s place. A very relaxing weekend getaway. The place smelled clean as soon as you walked in. The beds were so comfortable and clean. The sauna was amazing while it was snowing, very cool feature !! Has everything you need from entertainment to dishes, we finished a couple puzzles while we were there and there were tons of games and the tv has surround sounds so it was great for hockey games and movies! Would love to stay again in the summer. The description of the place was 100% accurate. Thanks for hosting us !!

Second time coming staying at Sam’s. Just as magical and peaceful as before. Can’t wait to come again next year.

We enjoyed our stay. Our family needed a quiet place to rest up and recharge our batteries. Even our dog was able to join us, which was great. Damon was very helpful and provided us with all necessary information prior to coming so we would be aware in advance. He answered all our questions. We would definitely like to come back again.

Myself and my family spent a great memorable weekend at Slav's place on the lake. The house and settings were perfect. The place was clean and new, without clutter, and still very comfortable. The host was proactive and very responsive. Thank you, Slav and I hope to return shortly.

The “Sunset Cottage” felt like a cozy home away from home. An extraordinary lake view from the bay window was the perfect center piece for this modest, quaint escape. Carol and Pete are extremely personable and caring. Their hospitality made this trip a breeze. I highly recommend them and this AirBnB.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay during the last week of August! Some of our favourite parts of the place include: the canoes/kayaks that were available to use at our leisure, the check-in process being seamless, the essentials being provided (all kitchen supplies, beach towels, shower supplies), the other amenities (board games, BBQ). The place itself is quite beautiful. The dock with the chairs, the fire pit (even though we did not use) and the solarium were all stunning. I would just mention that it is a bit smaller of a place inside, so did find it a bit cozy and tight in the rooms. Also, the place is supplied with quite a loud window AC so sometimes it would get a bit loud/warm in the place. However, we would still give the place a 5/5 all things considered.

Heronview Cottage is such a quaint and quiet place to stay and relax in the comfort of a cozy house with a fireplace, away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Cam and Karley are wonderful hosts who made the trip so easy and had the place set up exactly as you’d want it! Everything is nicely kept, modern, clean and comfy. Perth is a quick drive and there is lots of shops and restaurants to enjoy. Cam and Karley had the place nicely stocked with supplies and tea/coffee which was greatly appreciated. The place is very cute with ample room to relax, cook, watch TV and play board games all in the presence of a lovely wood stove for enjoying a fire. There is plenty of space for the dog to run around and explore a little too! Thanks to Cam and Karley, we look forward to coming back soon to Heronview!

Greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful , cozy cottage !! Host was amazing and the surroundings and accommodations were exactly what we were looking for ! Nature and ammendities made for a perfect cousins weekend !

Lindsay is a very dedicated host. The location is charming and allowed us to get away from the everyday.

Our group of 10 had a wonderful stay at Glenn's beautiful cottages. We were able to sleep 5 in each cottage with plenty of beds to spare. We enjoyed canoeing, swimming in the lake, grilling on the barbecue, and staying in playing board games when it rained. It would have been nice to have the hot tubs active during the rain, but we made do with the indoor jacuzzi tub! Glenn was super helpful, informative, and responsive which we all appreciated. And we loved that this was one of the only places around with a large enough kitchen table to seat everyone for a meal! Overall a very pleasant stay, highly recommended.
