An Irish pub that doesn't feel like an American Irish Pub. Food is good. Cozy place for winter nights.

A great neighborhood Irish bar, the best and proper fish and chips in town, served in newspaper just as they do abroad. Great beer selection, friendly locals, very good pub food.

Fish and Chips! Live music! I like their fish chowder. It's a very, Irish Pub.

Awesome bar with amazing specialty drinks. Another one by Barbara Lynch, right next to her Sportello and fine dining Menton.

One of the best 'serious' cocktail bars period. Best in Boston for knowledgable, creative bar staff

Boston was a bit late on the "craft cocktail" thing but Drink is quite good. The food menu is limited but very good too. There can be a wait so try to go early in the eve or early in the week.

A fun place with awesome cocktails. Especially the off menu drinks. There is no sign on the door but you can find it up the stairs from the door left of Central Kitchen.

Brick & Mortar is a unique place. The entrance is an unlabeled door in the alley that gives this place a speakeasy vibe. They have excellent mix drinks & Cocktails, and they always play good music.

Brick and Mortar doesn't have a sign - so listen carefully if you want to find it. Look for the Dosa shop on Mass Ave. Next to it is the restaurant Central Kitchen. Between the two is a door that l... read more

The neighborhoods best "local" still run by the lads Finbar brought with him from the old sod. Music occasionally, but always a great vibe and a perfect pint - coolish like, with a great head.

Great casual, divey pub. Has a fun pub quiz every Tuesday evening. BYO-food! You can bring your own snacks or order from Aurum across the street, which will deliver to the bar.

Dark relaxed atmosphere. You will find half the neighborhood hanging out in this old Irish Pub. Get food from Pikalo, Aurum, or Food Wall across the street and bring it in!

Fun, if a little -rough- around- the- edges. Home of Lil' Joe Cook. Blues sit- ins, Celtic music sit-ins (see their schedule for nights)

Very eclectic, half local half not local crowd, sort of dingy bar, but lots of fun toward the weekend for adventurous types. (The more upscale live music venues are further along Mass Ave.)

Very traditional american bar in my view, with live music starting with blue grass on tuesdays and funk as you go through the week. You can meet every king of people there.

We don't eat burgers anymore, but if we did, we'd run right out to the Galway House and order one with fries. No frills, step back into the old JP and enjoy the ride. And good food and beer, too!

The best dive bar around, serves food the latest with a great selection and GREAT prices. My favorite pizza in Boston - but only served after 11 pm.
