Beachfront vacation rentals in The Great Lakes

Our second visit! The lake and cottage are so quite and chill, it checked all our boxes for a great weekend. It's close to Hastings for us to do a bike race this weekend. The deck has been updated and a rockstar experience. The cottage is clean with plenty of amenities. It's truly an at home experience and Jason is fab on messages. We added an extra night on this visit since our plans changed. Next time we need to stay for a few weeks, that's for sure! Till next time...

This was our fourth stay at Jeff and Anne’s beautiful lake home and it just gets better every year. So peaceful and the surroundings are just spectacular. Jeff was quick to respond to our questions and made sure we had everything we needed for another wonderful vacation.

Our third year in a row staying here and like always everything was perfect. Matthew is a great host, very responsive and always helpful. The property is perfect, always clean and clear instructions on check out. Has everything a family would need. This will always be our go to BNB when visiting Alpena. Thanks Matthew for another great stay!

Outstanding! Very clean. We clean up after ourselves so not getting slammed with a high house cleaning fee and other fees made this a great value for families. One of the best places we’ve ever rented and Becca was so nice to work with.

This was an excellent location and the place was so cute, cozy and clean! Thank you Cindy and Paul for your great hospitality and accommodating us for an extra night! Rhonda was a wonderful host. The place was beautiful and the lake peaceful. We loved the firepit!

This was just what we were looking for. We wanted a landing place to sleep and shower and eat between out adventures and this was the perfect place. It was quiet and relaxing. We even got to see the three legged fox.

Rebecca’s place felt like home away from home as soon as you stepped inside. It had lots of seating and was very comfortable. Even though the lake was still frozen over the grounds were so nice we were able to spend lots of time outside with the dogs. It’s hard to find this level of accommodation that also accepts pets. There were dog beds and gates set up that made having our dogs there easy and safe but no sign of other pets having been there like smell or hair making it ideal for those who aren’t with pets as well. Hot tub was well maintained and gorgeous views! All amenities needed and beautiful bathrooms. Felt like a 5 star hotel with cottage amenities with the layout, items provided and decor. Would 10/10 stay again! Looking forward to heading back when the weather is nice for some time on the lake and in the walkable shoreline! Thanks again Rebecca!

Lovely lovely place. Sitting on the deck watching over the blue waters of the bay - dreamy! Kids had fun at the beach and in the pool. Highly recommend.

This may be one of my new favorite Air BNB spots! It is very comfortable and close to a lot of spots in Traverse City. The beach view was also very nice to look at. Kara is a great host and provided us with clear check in and check out instructions. Will definitely be visiting again!

My husband and I first enjoyed a stay at Michael’s condo 4 years ago. It’s become our go to place at GOTL. Clean, everything you need, great view, quiet and good location. Staying by the water is good for the soul. Recommended by this retired couple.

What a little gem of a place! Truly was an enjoyable place to stay and met all our needs. I would definitely recommend staying here especially during the summer months when you can take advantage of all the amenities like the beautiful in ground pool in the backyard.

David's place in Ft. Erie was a hidden gem that perfectly combined style, comfort, and a touch of charm. Nestled right on the beach, it provided a serene escape with a stunning view of the water just steps away. The interior was beautifully decorated, with a seamless blend of modern design and cozy elements that made every corner feel inviting. Not only was the space visually appealing, but it was also impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed for maximum comfort. The bedrooms were cozy retreats with sof,t white linens and plenty of natural light. David's place offered the perfect balance of tranquillity and sophistication, making it an ideal getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at “the dump”and rate this a 4.8! Photos do not do this place justice, it’s incredibly well maintained and perfectly beach themed with modern touches. The kitchen is updated and had everything we needed, including toddler friendly cups, bowls, plates (which was a bonus). Couch, kitchen chairs, pillows and beds were comfortable. Beach area is absolutely incredible, very large and there are shells which our toddler loved collecting. What would make this a 5 star: umbrella or shade structure for the beach when needed (it was super hot during our stay), deep cleaning of all cob webs under and around furniture, filters for coffee machine, dishwasher pods, laundry pods/detergent, luggage stands, hooks everywhere for clothes, bathing suits, towels, etc., filtered water brita or similar. Overall an amazing long weekend spent on the beach, we even added an additional day to our stay and it was super easy. Thank you so much; we will be back!!

This was the perfect location to stay for our fall golf trip to Arcadia Bluffs. A beautiful home less than 20 minutes to the course. Highly recommended.

Shay was an excellent host and I would definitely return for another visit. The place is really as it is right on the lake shore with a private beach. The house is excellent with all the required amenities for a quiet and peaceful weekend. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a lake front holiday.

Deb was an amazing host and the we really enjoyed our stay. It was a splendid experience for us with private beach access, the house all equipped with amenities and the instructions were very clear. Hosts kind behaviour to us made our stay even more good though there was a mishap from our side. We highly recommend this place! Thank you for hosting us. Peaceful cottage on Long Lake. Our family shared quality time on Labor Day weekend. Had a peaceful relaxing time. Had a campfire, played in the water. Loved the screened in porch and deck looking over the lake!

Me and my family enjoyed are time at the lake house. Can’t wait to comeback and hopefully we have more time to explore the area and more activities since it was raining most of the time. Overall the house felt like home. Highly recommended this lake house. Thank you to the host for all the help.

The place was just right for our girls getaway. It had a great location right on the lake. Since it was late fall it was very quiet. Would love to come back when it is warm to enjoy the water. The place itself was wonderful, the picturea didn't deceive.
