The homestead consists of 3 bedrooms, a well equipped country style kitchen with AC and wood fire, bathroom with inside toilet, sun lounge with a small bar and main lounge with reverse cycle AC.

This light and airy cottage is within walking distance to all the town facilities. It's a comfortable place for the whole family. You'll love the walks you can take after dinner and the rumpus room is the perfect place to sit by the Pot Belly Fire and watch a movie. If you're into mountain bikes, Melrose is one of the best attractions in South Australia. If you don't have a bike, you can hire them in town. We enjoyed our one night stay at John's. It's a well thought-out place to stay, with a mix of modern and lots of character. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal and loved the easy access a kitchen that supplied cereal, toast and jam, tea and coffee.

The two-story rustic stone building is nestled among tall bushland trees. A spacious balcony offers views of the surrounding greenery, while warm afternoon sunlight filters through the leaves, creating an inviting atmosphere around the structure.

Beautiful, rustic and comfortable spot to stay in Melrose. Alan was really helpful, providing us with an induction burner so we could cook dinner in kitchenette (has a microwave and a bbq already, but when we asked about if it had a stove, he supplied a burner). Thanks Alan!
