I cannot say enough good things about my husband and I’s stay at this beautiful bungalow! Zvezda was a wonderfully responsive host and prepared us well for check in, and the caretakers of the property welcomed us warmly. We were floored at the gorgeous surroundings when we arrived on the property. While lounging in the pool we were able to watch monkeys, macaws, butterflies, etc. The bungalow itself was also adorable and had everything we needed for our week long stay. If you’re looking for a private stay amidst nature in the Punta Uva/Puerto Viejo area, this is your spot!

Perfect location, the cabin is very close to the sea and the black beach is beautiful. near Puerto Viejo. 20 min walk to go to dinner or breakfast. The day walk along the beach is beautiful. Private accommodation and great for resting.

A truly wonderful and unique Airbnb experience. At first we were unsure whether sleeping “in the open” was the right decision, but by the second night, we were absolutely in love with it. Listening to the sounds of nature and the animals at night, and especially in the morning, was magical. Having our morning coffee on the terrace with a view into the jungle while watching all kinds of wildlife was unforgettable. Tine and René are incredibly kind hosts - super quick to respond and genuinely caring about making your stay as comfortable as possible. Another special touch was the daily cleaning by very friendly staff, which we really appreciated. The location was perfect for us: peaceful and away from the noise of the town, yet still just 10 minutes by car from everything. We can absolutely recommend this place and will likely look back on this magical experience for the rest of our lives.

We felt at home in the accommodation. From the beginning, we were impressed by the surroundings and nature around the house and were able to discover many great animals and plants. Ursula (mother of Justine) was super nice and gave us many great tips on how to make the stay in the area more beautiful. In addition, she was always careful that we were well and gave us a great gift in which she showed us the queen of the night (a flower that only blooms once a year). We really enjoyed having breakfast on the upper terrace in the morning and listening to the animals. We were able to relax very well here and can wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation. Great spot. It's like a little town of apartments, so a good place to meet other travellers. It's about a 2 minute walk to the beach, and Cocles is probably the best place to be since it's the central part of the area.

Our experience with Kate and this Airbnb was phenomenal, to say the least. From the beginning Kate, who is an extraordinary human, was diligent in communication and making sure we were able to get acquainted in Puerto Viejo and her place. Never have had a more thoughtful host. The place itself is nestled deep within the rainforest of Puerto Viejo, not far from the road of the town of Cocles ( a cute beach town with many restaurants and walkable beaches). Peaceful rainforest sounds, multiple species of monkeys traversing through the property, exotic birds and other jungle animals set the backdrop for the Casita. The Casita itself had a great build quality with warm wood construction, warm lighting, a comfortable bed. Kept the windows open to air most of the time with almost no exposure to bugs - a pleasant surprise in a rainforest environment. Fan available if a front of humidity moves in. Ability to cook for yourself with a functional stove. Would recommend 10 times over!

Absolutely dreamy and wonderful location. Minutes away from the Cahuita national park entrance and sufficiently out of the town center that you are surrounded by nature. We had the chance of seeing many animals at our doorstep. The AC was a plus to sleep comfortably in the Caribbean humidity and heat. Would highly recommend this location

What a beautiful paradise. Reynaldo, Isis, and their daughter are a wonderful family. Always kind and willing to help in any way they can. The most beautiful white sand, clear blue water beach are right across the property. One can snorkel right from the shore! The property itself is beautiful. The bed is comfortable. The place very clean. Hot water available in the shower. Highly recommended! We would love to return someday in the future. Thank you Reynaldo and Isis! 🙏🏼🥰

Very nice spot close to the beach!

The place was exactly as in the photos. Clean and well laid out. It was great to go to the beach in the morning and come back to the salt water pool en la tarde. Everything that we needed was provided . Even our dog was happy. My wife and I would absolutely go back. Muchas gracias Jonathan. PS. The bed was very comfortable

Great option to stay! Very good location, close to Playa Cocles and Playa Uvita. Restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. The accommodation is as shown in the photos. Very comfortable and well equipped. We already want to come back!

This stay was an adventure for us! We will miss rocking gently to sleep in the comfy hanging bed, waking with the incredible sounds of birds and howler monkeys, watching agouti and chacalaca rove through the yard, and seeing aracari, oropendola and toucans in the trees around us. The kitchen was our favourite ever, with the folding shutters opened to the outdoors, gas stove and hanging out on the barstools, or the various other seating areas on the spacious covered deck. We enjoyed the original design of the cabin in beautiful materials and with many cute details. The beach is a short walk away, through a lush quiet residential road. The outdoor shower is a must for sand management 😄 The indoor shower is great, hot water and nice bathroom. Yes, you are living half outdoors (geckos and insects are part of the adventure) but in great style. We loved being here! Tip: the margaritas at the Reggae Bar down the road are wicked good!

Javier and Eva are wonderful hosts! Their place is a little slice of heaven in Cocles. Exactly as described. Very private & quiet; away from the business of town but a 15 min walk to places to eat/drink and the beach. I was able to walk and Uber around Cocles, Puerto Viejo, Cahuita, Punta Uva, and Manzanillo very easily. Loved sitting on the porch in the morning listening to the wildlife and enjoying the flowering plants. I saw so many hummingbirds, butterflies, lizards, and even an Aguoti. 100% recommend. Pura Vida!

Pablo's place was very nice and clean. It was quiet and a very short walking distance to the beach. Pablo was so friendly and helpful we would highly recommend staying here.

Just finished a one month stay at Casita Coco. Tom and Mar were excellent hosts and very helpful with any questions we had. The location was a short walk to town and very close to Playa Negra. We enjoyed hearing the birds and howlers daily. The kitchen was well supplied and the internet was excellent for working remotely. We would definitely come back!

My daughter and I loved our stay at Sirlen's place. It was perfect. Sirlen was quick to respond to any questions and she made sure we had everything we might need. The studio is only a short walk to the beach and town, but it is very private and peaceful. We felt very safe and secure. Loved being able to walk to the supermarket, shops and restaurants! We are looking forward to staying here again on our next visit.

After an exciting arrival with river crossing, ferry boat and minibus, we were very warmly welcomed by Jenny and Waldi. The Bribri-style homes are functional and you sleep wonderfully. Very tasty and special breakfast and dinner with fruit and vegetables from their own cultivation, including freshly squeezed juices and homemade teas, was served to us by the hosts. The mediated hiking tour with guide Juan was also very informative and exciting. An absolute recommendation is also the chocolate tour offered by the hosts.

I had a perfect stay in Puerto Viejo and in Ernyk his airbnb. He helped me with extra requests which was very nice. The house is very new and beautiful, a lot of green and animals around + only 5 min bikeride to shops and restaurants. Another plus is the eco friendly elements in the house. I would recommend this place 1000% and hope to return someday.

Best place to experience the Costa Rica vibe. So close to the ocean and in the middle of a jungle. Loved to hear the howler monkeys in the front and back yard. Amazing and wonderful. Favorite Airbnb. Highly recommended!

Marleen’s place is a true jungle experience.. it’s a 10 min walk in a trail she made through the jungle until you get to her property. The deck is super simple, like the pictures. We stayed while it rained all night and it was magical. No electricity or hot water but it adds to the experience. Marleen is a super host and her property is a wonderful place.
