It is about an hour's drive from downtown Kyoto, about 20 minutes by bus from JR Kokusai Line Azumigawa Station, or about 10 minutes by taxi. It is a quiet place and is fully equipped with WiFi, so please use it as a workcation. Ideal for those considering moving from the city center or trying out living☆ A BBQ set is also available for rent. Please be careful about making noise, and enjoy BBQ with everyone. We also rent BBQ equipment for a fee, so please let us know. Free parking is available on site. Parking is available for up to 3 vehicles. There are plenty of outdoor facilities nearby, so please use them as a base for your activities. Please use it as a base for cycling around Lake Biwa. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
