Beautiful, clean, cozy and homely cottage in a great location for exploring the surrounding area. Debbie and Duncan are great hosts. Was a lovely touch been greeted with a bottle of wine, fresh eggs and homemade rhubarb jam and fresh flowers. Perfect.

Village property - Wayside Cottage DH8 9NL

Spacious and comfortable cottage ideal for a couple in a pretty village by the moors. We enjoyed visiting the surroundings including the city of Durham and Beamish Open Air Museum as well as castles and countryside. On street parking was no problem as we always parked in front of the cottage.

Garden Cottage in tranquil North Pennine valley

Peter's place was wonderful, and the surroundings were amazing. He's got a massive garden overlooking some great views. The actual Lake District is a little far from the place but there are some nice hikes around. There's a collection of Board games for some fun on a rainy day or to chill out in the evening. We arrived late, but Peter was really responsive and friendly.

Luxurious glamping pods - The Family

IanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The family pod we stayed in was the most well equipped glamping pod we’ve ever stayed in. Despite it being extremely well equipped it didn’t feel over crowded or cluttered. We had a pod that looked out onto the field and witnessed a spectacular sunset. We didn’t feel overlooked at all in our pod so felt very private. Plenty shops a short drive away to stock the well sized fridge to make full use of the kitchen. Also, Hamsterley Forest is only 5 miles away that had some lovely walks. In the morning we got a 10% discount at the cafe on site that served a quality, well priced breakfast. This stay is definitely value for money.
