St. John vacation rentals

Beautiful views hidden away from the hustle and bustle of busier parts of the island. Evenings spent in the breeze on the porch after days of hiking to hidden east/south side beaches make it feel like your own private island. Access takes a drive that is a little scary the first time, but the hostess leading the way helped get over that first trip. It was easy after we got the hang of it! Felt like an adventure tour some people would pay for that we got to do for free.

Milk Moon Cottage was a wonderful escape. We love coming to St. John, but absolutely loved the privacy of this East End house. The view is breathtaking, and the seclusion was just what we needed. Victoria was incredibly responsive. We can’t wait to stay here again on our next trip to the island.

Beautiful spot! We loved all the personal touches and the back up battery for the house in case there is a power outage. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and say hi to Mildred the chicken. My husband would have snuck her home in the backpack if he could have. We never want to leave and 8 nights wasn’t long enough. The pool and outdoor shower were perfect and we loved the separate bedroom downstairs. Highly recommend!

The house and grounds are just as you see in all the pictures. The island is beautiful, and Melissa was an excellent host. Less than 2 miles away is an incredible restaurant/bar to watch the sunset. Her communication was amazing, and the location and the house were clean and comfortable. The Bronco was waiting at the ferry terminal and the orientation to the area that we were given was perfect. I would come back and stay with Melissa again!!

We had a wonderful stay at House Aceso! The house is beautifully appointed, modern and the views are truly top notch! From the moment you open the door on the top level, you'll be in awe of the vista. It's mesmerizing and we happened to stay during a full moon so we were treated with amazing sunrises AND increduble moon views, which we also enjoyed from the awesome pool deck below. The two bedrooms on the second level are perfect. Each has its own AC unit which was glorious for sleeping. They also have blackout curtains, but don't skip the sunrise...so beautiful! A full bath and laundry made the sleeping area perfect. Kandee has thought of everything and provides just as much. She's the friendliest, kindest woman with a huge heart!! Kandee was super quick with responses and made some really great recommendations and we were thrilled to get to meet her in her shop. Definitely recommend getting a jeep for driving and exploring. We will absolutely come back to House Aceso, thanks Kandee!

Very pretty Airbnb! The coastal vibe was so nice. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed coffee our coffee while deciding which beach to hit. The beach chairs and towels provided were great and made it easy for us to grab and go. Margaret communicated with us the whole time and was a wonderful host.

We loved Villa Colada! We traveled with our teenage and adult children and the set-up allows for gathering, buy also privacy when needed. The pool was awesome. We all agreed that A/C In the kitchen/living room would be nice, but that was literally our only discomfort. Absolutely seamless and amazing!

Six of us stayed here in August. Upon arrival, Alex met us by the ferry and patiently waited as we signed for our rental car near the dock. We then followed Alex up the hill (be prepared) and he showed us the amenities of the house. The driveway up to Alex’s is very steep so I recommend a Jeep. The parking spot is a tight space but it gets easier with more practice. Alex was responsive with any questions asked. You have to be cognizant of island living with their resources. Due to this, the water pressure is faint the majority of the time, and we would schedule the showers at different times. The laundry on site was nice for the beach/pool towels. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful and has great appliances. The bedrooms were very nice and had comfortable Bed and linens. The view is spectacular and the pool was refreshing after a day at the beach. We would return.

Lovely little house very close to Cruz Bay. Having AC in the bedrooms was a nice amenity and the porch has a great view! Note that it is a shared space in that there is a duplex just above (the blue building) and a person who lives below (and has a deck just below the Hoos House deck). We didn't have any issues with these people as far as noise or otherwise, but it wasn't quite as private as we expected. We also had some trouble using the app, but Andrew sent a code and that worked just fine. In general, it's a great location to the west/north side of the island, restaurants, and grocery store and a comfy space!

We felt so at home. Everything we needed was available for us for the beach day trips. I highly recommend staying here. The owners were attentive from the very beginning and provided very clear instructions. Our kids loved the pool, the open floor plan, beautiful and clean home, spectacular views, close to everything, I cannot say enough how much we loved the stay. If I can give them more than 5 stars I would! Thank you for the perfect family vacay!

If you want to stay in a private, peaceful sanctuary on Saint John, this is your place. So much nicer than glamping- it’s where we will return to again and again.

This house is amazing! The views from the deck are stunning and a perfect spot to have coffee in the morning and also gave us shelter when it rained. The kitchen was well equipped and allowed us to cook and enjoy family meals together. Washer and dryer with a a separate laundry area was a huge plus. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were big and spacious. The house in newly built and clean and modern. Drew was very responsive and reliable and offered many suggestions for places for groceries and a boat trip to the BVI. The house was very close to Cruz Bay and the beaches. We had everything we needed and would highly recommend this property and Drew if you are visiting St. John.

The house holds a wonderfully commanding view of Coral Bay. The deck and pool allows for full viewing of the bay in a virtually private setting. At night you are away from lights and have a wonderful view of the stars. We are a couple, so we only used the master bedroom. It is detached from the living area, accessible by outdoor stairs. It contains a small bathroom with shower. It is air conditioned which was perfectly comfortably to sleep in. The main living area has a spacious 2nd bathroom. The host provided basics for the beach (two chairs, beach towels, ice chests and frozen ice packs) which came in very handy. The small price you pay for being on the side of the mountain is that a few sections of the road to the house are not paved and its occasionally a bumpy ride. While Coral Bay is on the eastern side of the island, there are great restaurants and beaches nearby. You can easily access North Shore Road for all of the great beaches. Definitely a great stay. No negatives.

We had a great stay at Debbie’s place! Her and everyone that assisted were fantastic! Any questions or and concerns they were super attentive and helpful! Our flight got delayed multiple times and our rental couldn’t catch the last car ferry so Aaron came to pick us up & recommend us some food spots to pick up from and also took our luggage so we didn’t have TJ walk around with it. Everything from the the actual house to the hosts running the house were beyond fantastic would definitely stay here again!

Someday Soon was perfect in every way. The interior is comfortable and clean, the outdoor space (decks/pool) is outstanding, and the views are even better than in the photos. The day didn't end when we left the beach; coming back to the home, pool, and views kept the vacation vibes going. So much beauty all around!

Wonderful home! Close to the restaurants and shops. About 15-20 minutes from the beaches and 2 minutes from the Ferry! We enjoyed the large kitchen and the view from the balcony. You definitely need a 4x4 to get up the hill, as the road isn’t paved. Thank you for the incredible place and sharing it with others.

This house was so comfortable for our family and the views are AMAZING! Don’t think twice, it’s worth it. We came after a week on St John and ended up being here during a tropical storm. The host communicated with us a few times to make sure we were ok and comfortable, we even had generator support the entire time our power was out and one of the property managers even stopped by to check on us. Zero problems during the storm. Our kids had fun during the storm watching on the patio in the hot tub and playing games. Prior to the storm we were able to enjoy the beaches the island has to offer and felt at home cooking in the kitchen/grill outside. I’m so glad we stayed here, will definitely return and recommend to anyone looking to stay on St. Thomas.

We had a great stay at Beneath the Mango tree. The house is just as it appears with everything you need for your trip including coolers, chairs, beach towels and an umbrella for the beach. The kitchen and laundry room were well stocked. The view off the porch and from the pool was beautiful, I can’t imagine getting tired of it! Our host was very responsive with lots of helpful suggestions. Highly recommend staying here!

We had the most beautiful week at Big Sky Villa. The house and amenities were fantastic for our party of 10 and we had enough room for everyone to have privacy and to feel able to spread out. We enjoyed the sunset most evenings from the house and the kids loved the pool and visiting iguanas. Jessica and Luzmey could not be more helpful and kind. Cannot recommend enough!

This was the perfect peaceful getaway that was still close to Cruz Bay. Within a 5 minute drive to Cruz bay and privately tucked away with a view of the ocean. The private pool was incredible and the host had the place stocked with important items. It was very nice at checkout that we didn’t have to worry about taking the trash out and could just worry about packing up and catching the ferry.

What can I say about Periwinkle Cottage? The perfect getaway!The incredible view! The unbelievably helpful hosts!Janelle is great! Local host Dena goes above and beyond! Everything was amazing. The pool is absolutely wonderful. It would be easy to never leave the property because of it but then you’d miss the beauty of St. John of course. Do yourself a favor and make sure to rent a Jeep when you go to St. John, not only for the road to Periwinkle but getting around the rest of the island will be much easier. There’s a grocery store (Love Market) nearby which is also great. And make sure you say hi to Elly and Phil at Surf Club Cantina which is also nearby and tell them I said hi. All in all one of the best trips ever. Hope to return soon.

Brizan was perfect for us. Everything is thought of - legitimately everything. And there is a feeling of being welcomed “home,” from the moment you are greeted by Jennifer & Joey at the dock (quite possibly the best concierge team/property managers on the island). They will take care of you! The location is so quiet and peaceful (you will need to rent a vehicle to get there). Be sure to check out Reef Bay Beach (visible from the deck; good hiking sandals or sneakers are probably a good idea, as the short hike down is easy, but a little steep). Totally worth it! Every bedroom (more like suites) is equipped with AC (which was very much appreciated) & the beds are incredibly comfortable. *the solar back up is also something to really appreciate. Given the power issues the island has been experiencing, this is a necessity! Thank you Adriane for sharing your home, and Jen & Joey for taking such great care of our family.

The villa was absolutely perfect! One of the best views we’ve experienced in St John. When we arrived, it was a day after Ernesto (hurricane) rolled through. Alec was extremely flexible and shifted our dates without penalty. The house was impeccably clean and it was great having a king size bed in every room. We used the pool every day and cooked every night just to soak in the stunning view. Our favorite part was sitting on the patio at night with the full moon illuminating the ocean and distant islands while the sea breeze rolled in. Would definitely stay here again!
