We loved Erla's place! It was very comfortable and cosy and had the most amazing views. Despite being only 10 minutes from Bogarnes it was incredibly peaceful and we were delighted to both see the northern lights and do some stargazing. The cottage had everything we needed and the hot tub was a real treat at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend :)

We had such a great time, the cabin exceeded expectations in every way! Lilja was very responsive and helpful for any questions we had. The most beautiful surroundings and so peaceful! We enjoyed the hot tub, dart board and pool table. We even got to see the auroras on 2 separate nights which was a real highlight! The kitchen is small with a small over, this didn’t matter for us but could be useful to know if you were not planning to go out much. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this cabin!!

Fabulous place with breath-taking views of the mountains, short stroll to a peaceful lake, soothing mineral water in the hot tub, and a well-stocked kitchen. We loved our time here and wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect for a 2 or 3 family visit, with toys and books for kids. A great home base for exploring Iceland. Ragnhildur and Astridur are gracious hosts.

This is a country inn connected with the restaurant of the innkeeper. The rooms are spacious, bright, clean and tidy, with kitchen facilities and bathroom items fully equipped. The inn has a large hot tub, and there is also a sauna room next to it, both of which can be used free of charge. After taking a sauna, soak in the open-air hot tub while looking at the blue sky, which is extremely pleasant. The restaurant of the inn provides delicious fish and fish soup, as well as small portions of children's meals. The inn is near the vast farm, to the west are the beach and the sea, and to the east is the beautiful fjord. Sitting on the picnic chair beside the farm and looking at the distant mountains, the river at the foot and the boundless pasture, I feel that this is the meaning of life.

Cannot put into words how amazing this place was. Very homely little chalet overlooking the most beautiful backdrop. Whilst the pictures look aged it was very clean, well equipped and super comfortable. The hot tub was amazing and a wonderful place to enjoy the northern lights from. Would deffo come back. Gudny was an amazing, generous, and kind host. We felt immediately right at home and the home is well stocked with everything you could need as you adventure around Iceland. The location was excellent for our needs and it was quiet with beautiful views. The home was exactly as expected and the hot tub and outdoor shower were excellent! We would 100% stay again and highly recommend staying!!

We booked the place for our assembly. Booking was as simple and straightforward as always. Excellent, clean place as shown in the pictures. We were very satisfied again and would book the Airbnb again at any time! 5 out of 5 stars!

The scenery was amazing. It was wonderful to hang out on the porch, though admittedly a bit chilly in early October. The cabin was very cute, well laid out, clean, and with many small touches that made it wonderful. Only downside was that the hot water does have a strong sulfur smell and the kitchen sink is shallow resulting in water often spraying out of the sink due to the high water pressure. Aside from those two minor issues that place was perfect solitude. One other item to mention is that the nearby waterfall trail was very worthwhile. You park in the nearby small neighborhood and walk up an ATV trail. It was amazing to be the only people around the waterfall and to be able to hike further up the mountains.

Such a beautiful place tucked in the mountains. We were not expecting the physical beauty that surrounded us. Perfect size for a damily of 5. Would definitely recommend if you want to be outside of the city. About a 45 minute drive to downtown Rekyjavic.

This place, and Iceland, was absolutely stunning. The cabin was cozy and clean and on a horse/sheep farm. The beautiful horses are literally outside your windows at the cabin, and they offer horseback riding for all levels of experience. My eight year old daughter and I are beginner riders, and it was the most magical experience riding Icelandic horses in Iceland. The family that lives here are friendly and welcoming and live amongst mountains and waterfalls. The nearest store is a half hour drive to Borgarnes, so get what you need on the way. You can also find really good restaurants and a bakery in town. There is even 1,000 year old hot spring ten minutes down the road that the host told us about. I can't say enough about what an amazing experience we had visiting Iceland, and Borgarnes for the first time. I highly recommend this place and looking forward to going back!

The place is clean and spacious. The amenities, especially the kitchen, are sufficient – a spatula was the only thing we missed a bit. Very nice place to stay, especially cozy in winter – highly recommended.

We loved Rebecca’s place - really warm and welcoming as soon as you step inside and the views are amazing. It was snowing when we arrived and it snowed heavily overnight, so we were glad of our wee 4x4 with its snow tyres, when we eventually ventured out for food and provisions. The road to the cottage is very challenging in the snow and ice. The cottage itself is well equipped and very comfortable - we both slept really well. All in all, we highly recommend Rebecca’s place - we spent a lot more time there than we do in most airbnbs due to the weather - it’s a lovely place to relax.

We had a wonderful stay here! The view is so beautiful - we loved walking along the beach and taking in the views. Watching the seal in the water, the birds and all of the little sea creatures at low tide was a treat. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and was well-stocked. The beds were comfortable as well. We loved relaxing in the hot pot in the evenings while enjoying the view and listening to the birds! The area is amazingly beautiful. We loved to drive around the fjord - and even spotted a whale 2 different times! The hosts are very friendly and easy to communicate with. They were very responsive and helpful with the couple of questions that we had. I highly recommend staying here!

This was a perfect jump off point for exploring the area! Short drive in every direction for hikes and attractions. Sleepy little town with amazing views right out front. Loa was wonderful with recommendations and information. The home was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing place next to a small river, the place is cozy and super clean. Host was super friendly and the communication was very easy and fast. A super friendly dog named Tata might visit you, it’s the neighbours dog. She loves to cuddle, so enjoy.
