Family-friendly vacation rentals in Setagaya City

I can't say enough about Kazuya and Maila's place! We were really looking for a place we could call home during our 10-day stay. We wanted an immersive experience in a quiet neighborhood that would serve as a base for all of the things we wanted to do and places we wanted to go. I was traveling with 3, 21-year-olds who wanted the tatami sleeping experience, but I was happy to have my own bedroom and space that was a little more western in nature. The neighborhood was delightful! It was so quiet and we could sleep with the windows open. We sometimes walked to the closest train station and sometimes took a taxi (less than $10 USD). Getting to Tokyo Station was super easy and getting to Disney was easier. Just like described. They were also very helpful with a couple things we needed during our stay that required native speakers. They made a couple phone calls and made some reservations for us that we would have found difficult on our own. Would not hesitate to book with them again!

Had the best time staying here! It was so fun to be by all the restaurants and bars. The beds were so comfortable my husband and I slept like rocks. The balcony was an added bonus to have some fresh air and everything was so clean and worked properly. Nakano ended up being our favorite place in Tokyo and we were thankful we didn’t book elsewhere. We will absolutely stay again next time!

Both the scallor and the family are very kind and friendly, and we are grateful for the situation and requests.We had delicious tea from the day of arrival and a lot of hospitality afterwards.The room was also very nice, and although it was not a one-floor rental, we had a comfortable stay.It was also close to the station, which was helpful.

Recommend this place, great location and close to train stations. The view is great and felt comfortable living in the airbnb, had all the amenities needed.

I always stay at Akari's place when I travel to Japan several times per year for work by myself. On this visit I brought my two children (ages 11 and 14) with me. Akari's apartment was comfortable for all of us, with my children sleeping on futons -- one set up on the couch and one on the ground. My kids appreciated having the swinging chair on the porch to get extra space and to read in the morning when they were jetlagged and up early, and love that it's so convenient to go downstairs to the 7-11 or nearby Starbucks. Having a laundry washer and drier in the apartment is an added bonus to be able to easily wash clothes during an extended stay. Highly recommend Akari's apartment for solo travelers, a couple, or family (or friends comfortable sharing sleeping areas). The location is perfect!

Masakatsu was a fantastic host! Very helpful and always answered our questions. The space is clean and is exactly as seen in photos and description. Having a train close by was super convenient and the onsen was perfect to relax after a long day of sight seeing. Would definitely stay again.

The airbnb was a great location and near the station and we enjoyed our stay.

Very spacious, great for large groups and easy to find with flexible check-in. Quiet area and the parking space was a plus. It's a bit far from the station, and the area only has some convenient restaurants, but it is not bad if you leave the house for all day and only come back at night. We enjoyed the loft and the rock wall is very creative. The house was mostly clean. We do wish that there were blinds, but eye masks solved the problem. It's not perfect, but still very good! I would return again.

We had a great stay, it was very spacious which was great for us as we had our baby with us. Kotaro is a friendly, thoughtful and helpful host.

We were a party of 3 looking for an apartment with 2 separate bathrooms (toilets) which is hard to find when you only need 2 bedrooms. We needed privacy but still have a place to be together. This fit the bill exactly. The apartment is a detached house with 3 floors, in a quiet area a few minutes walk from Ikeburu station . The top and bottom floors have bedrooms and toilets while the middle floor has the kitchen, living/ dining area, shower and laundry. The stairs are steep, so that might be a problem for some people. The kitchen has all the basics, but we only needed it for our morning coffee, as there are lots of places to buy food and eat in the area. Unfortunately, there were only 2 coffee cups when we were there, which I understand has been remedied. The couches in the living/dining area were basic but not super comfy. All in all, it made a good base from which to see Tokyo. I would recommend this apartment to people who want both privacy and a communal area.

Kanako was always responsive and helpful during our stay. Her lovely home is located in a very convenient location that is both quiet and within walking distance to many places including 2 train stations that could easily take you to other parts of the city. It reminded us of our time when we lived in Tokyo. Our son absolutely loved staying here. Definitely recommended for small families.

Nobu’s place is in a great location in Shibuya near excellent restaurants and shops. The place is clean and very quiet.

Yukari was more than a host, she is a friend. She is kind, friendly, helpful and very responsive. She picked us up at the station and also dropped us off when we departed. Japan is a great place to visit for its beauty, culture and especially the people. It’s our number one favorite country to come back again and again Thank you Yukari for allowing us to stay at your place and for being so nice to us

Yuki is very responsive and helpful! The area was perfect for our stay. Yuki told us about a festival that would be happening while we were there and it was an incredible experience! Yuki provided clear instructions on how to use the A/C, the washing machine, etc. She is a lovely and thoughtful host!

The host was very kind and eager to help. He left very descriptive instructions and great recommendations. House was very clean and organized in a great. Stairs in the house are very narrow and steep but manageable even with large suitcases. The hallways are also tight but rooms are big enough. Overall a great stay.

The neighborhood is very friendly and welcoming. It’s conveniently located close to the train station and offers all necessary amenities. The place is clean and well-maintained, making it a great choice for a comfortable stay.

Don’t be put off by the rules- be respectful and this is a great stay. Nice and quiet and close to many food places and stations. The host is very helpful and responsive and even offered to make a restaurant reservation for us. We loved our stay!

The host was very friendly, the time changed and helped me refund my money right away, so I spoke very well and was very welcoming.The room is very spacious. Getting around is also more convenient. It is still very satisfactory in all aspects.

Very clean place. About 13 minutes from the nearest station. I enjoyed the AC, amenities such as a kettle and toothbrush, among other things.

This place was perfect! Very close to the train station, great location. The apartment was sizable and very clean. We felt right at home immediately. I will definitely recommend this spot to anyone who plans to visit Tokyo!
