Vacation rentals in Serengeti

We had a wonderful stay at Vidapag Ikoma during our time exploring the Serengeti! It is just outside the park gate, which makes it easy to do game drives early in the morning. The rooms were good price and each had a large bed that could easily fit two people as well as a private bathroom. The meals were very good Tanzanian classics. Michael and all of the staff were so welcoming, including taking us to visit their church and to wander around Robanda. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Dany's place is wonderful. It is right next to the Serengeti Gate. So you still live in the wild life of Africa. There are monkeys on the terrace. At night you can hear the leopard, so you understand what life the cattle herders from the village live. Danny's lodge is located in Robanda and it is an absolutely perfect location. We took a one-day safari from Karatu near Arusha and drove through both Ngorogoro and Senrengeti to Robanda. If you land in Kilimanjaro JRO, when coming from Europe, you can take a domestic flight to a strip 10 km from Robanda. Then you can stay with Danny and be completely safe in the knowledge that he will arrange a safari through Serengeti and Ngorogoro to an airport with flights to Zanzibar. You can easily stay in Robanda for a few days and go on local tours and walking safaris in the area with Danny. He speaks really good English and knows everything about nature, animals and the history of Tanzania.

Unforgettable We had an amazing time on safari in the Ikoma area and stayed at Daniel’s place for two nights. The location is quite remote, so we recommend confirming the exact directions with Daniel in advance—he is always happy to help. Besides that, he is a great conversationalist and incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife. The evenings by the fire with Daniel, listening to his fascinating stories about animals and their behavior, were truly unforgettable. We were pleasantly surprised by everything—Daniel and his team made us feel like family. Of course, this is not a five-star luxury stay, but everything is simple, well-maintained, and filled with care for guests. The rooms have all the essentials, and the staff is attentive and welcoming. The food was another highlight—homemade and delicious. At night, there is security, as the savanna is nearby, and you can hear the sounds of wildlife, waking up to birdsong in the morning. A great price-to-quality ratio. Highly recommended!

Michael is passionate host who answer every question promptly. He showed his warmth welcome with sharing his family history and his plan for development on his place. He is well prepared for our stay, the food are delicious and in large portion served with different fruits surprisingly.
