Log house in a pleasant courtyard, Flatdal, Seljord

Welcome to the farm here at our place. The old cozy log house is idyllically situated to the sun-away on our farm grounds, the large open outdoor areas. Flatdal is a very good starting point for good hiking, long and short bike and car ride. The house has two bedrooms, a bright and delicious living room with dining nook, fireplace, view out towards the tuna and the village. Although the hand-held house is old, it has inlaid electricity, water, heaters, kitchen and bathroom with shower. A quiet and idyllic place for adults and children.

Great cabin by Gaustatoppen

Gather the family in a great cabin with plenty of space for play and coziness! The cabin is only 50 meters from the ski track which gives you access to miles of trails. There is plenty of space outside around the cabin with a hill hill and sunny porch. The cabin is located in a quiet cabin field, and it is only a 20 min drive to the slalom slope at Gaustablikk (when the mountain crossing is open for traffic) or Flugonfjell. Easy access to grocery store and the Tuddal Høyfjellshotell.

Nordic View cabin 900 m – close to Gaustatoppen

Ålhytte (2023) with fantastic views and very good hiking opportunities both on foot and on skis right from the cabin. The cabin is located about 900 meters above sea level surrounded by old forest, open land and a few other cabins. Summer: Lots of options for short and long mountain hikes in the immediate vicinity. Winter Large network of ski slopes, straight from the cabin. Both on the snow mountain and on more protected terrain. A smaller alpine resort in Tuddal (Flugonfjell).

Lovely cabin with nice view for rent

Nice cabin with view to the lake and mountains. It has 3 bedrooms in total. it has no shower but there is a watersystem with a watertank you fill up and you get hot and cold water in the kitchen and bathroom. There are roads all the way to the door and parking. you need to bring your own towels, linen and some drinking water. There is a wood oven and a gas oven there. There is a big nice veranda there too and its close to the mountain hotell. Electricity will be calculated.

Back to basics. Enjoy the deafening silence…. With the view of the mountains and the pure nature, you feel very small for a moment, and then (re)discover the strength for life. The small cottage can offer you a lot: a good place to sleep for 2 people downstairs, and 1 person in the attic. There is a 5 liter water bottle, coffee and tea. Also it has an electric and wood-burning stove. A luxurious bathroom and toilet are a 20-meter walk away... feel free and find yourself

Skaubu, quiet retreat in the mountains of Telemark

Nice cabin 920 m asl. Located at Kvambekkheia, on the border between Seljord and Vinje municipalities. Built 1974/2015. 5 bedrooms, 10 beds, 1,5 bathrooms, 3 living rooms, kitchen. Hikes in the mountains, and excurtions in the area. I live 150 km from the cabin, and need to accept each stay, to make sure it is cleaned and ready with supplies. A lovely, relaxing holiday in the mountains. Perfekt for x-country skiing and hiking. Great for trips to Gaustatoppen, named the most beautiful mountain in Norway. Three bedrooms. A large, cozy fire place in the living room, and a large terrace for cold beverages and hot cocoa in the sun after some outdoor fun. A nice walk from Tuddal Høyfjellshotel with a great cafe and restaurant. Close to lake perfekt for swimming on hot days.
