The photos don't do justice to the beauty and area of the house! Very nice space, with several leisure areas, interior patios, tastefully decorated! The area where the pool is located (500 meters from the accommodation, in a very nice park) is huge, with trampolines, swings, hammocks and dining tables. Juncais' location is perfect for trips to other locations in the Serra. We loved it!

Place is great in a quiet location in the countryside with good ammenities including pool and outdoor seating. The third bed option could be a bit more comfy (pull out bed) but otherwise everything was wonderful. João is a really friendly host and allowed us to pick blueberries for breakfast which were delicious. Recommend staying here!

Ideal place to replenish your energy. The pool area is great for relaxing. The house is comfortable and has everything you need. D. Teresa is very friendly and always available to help. I recommend it.

The host is a good and pleasant woman she helped us even though there was a mix up in the check in - because I made a mistake in the reservation. Found us a different lodging solution from what was initially set up that had enough space for all of us (we arrived a family with four people instead of one person as was on the reservation) She went above and beyond bargain.. really a stork woman. And the village and area was lovely. Perfect for a trip at this time of year.

José and family were so friendly and helpful. We loved the house it is so peaceful, ideal to recharge! The views and beautiful. The kids loved the swimming pool and the river beaches. It's a great environment to bring kids, they ve had so much fun! We can't wait to come back and highly recommend José s house. What a lovely family xxx

We had a lovely stay in Manteigas, exploring Torre and a few walks that Ines had suggested. Very quiet place to stay, lots of room and a lovely view.

The place was better than expected. Joao and Susana make sure you feel at home, weither it is in communication or in the well equipped house with attention to detail. (In real everything was more beatiful than in the pictures). The farm is situated in between small hills, far from city busyness into a calm oases. We recommend taking a walk up the hill behind the house untill the top, it's an easy walk with an amazing view. You need a car to get there, for dinner you would have to drive 15-30 minutes (or ofcourse cook at home). Google often says a place is open, but often it is not :) Susana can give you the right places. There were cats walking around which was a big plus for us. They show you the way around a bit and they ofcourse like the attention. Unfortunately for us the weather was too cold for a good swim, but the pool is quite big and we would love to return to try it for a little bit longer ;)! We were surprised by this place in a good way, it's another beautiful part of Portugal and staying at Joao and Susanas place, makes it perfect.

It was a fantastic stay, in a different space but very cozy and perfect to escape the city. The home was beautiful and so was all the common spaces. The great pool and perfect for relaxing in privacy and in the middle of nature. Thank you ☺️

Very pleasant stay; very good welcome from Viriato and her mother , welcome gifts with good jam , local cheese. House with pool, secluded in the hills , quiet with views of the mountains . Ideal for the dog! Very satisfied.

Filipe had a great location that was able to accommodate our large group. There was an industrial kitchen fully stocked with utensils for cooking and an awesome patio with a great view of the sunset! Would highly recommend

Pros: The pictures don’t do justice to this beautifully renovated rustic stone house and its superb view over the mountains. It feels like a fairy tale. Huge territory, private, more than enough place for our group: 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. New Year’s Eve at the house was special - we had a barbecue outside and could see fireworks lighting from all around us, from the different villages in the valleys, for several minutes. Paulo was responsive, and kind enough to leave us a bottle of homemade local wine. The linens and towels provided were clean and smelled great, as well as the house itself. Warm showers and perfect temperatures inside, even at this time of the year. Would definitely stay again. Cons: a couple of minor things, but worth mentioning. WiFi was not reliable, very unstable. Mattresses and pillows need some updating, not the most comfortable. Check-in/out times were not updated on Airbnb, it’s best to check with the host to avoid misunderstandings.
