Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sea of Japan

The area was lovely, and very close to the train station. The house had everything we needed and Masa was an amazing host! He met us at the station to guide us to the suite, helped us get situated, and was only a text away if we needed anything. Amenities were provided, and there were restaurants, grocery stores, and convenience stores nearby for anything else.

Really lovely stay! It was very clean. Many towels, pillows, blankets were provided. It was a fairly quiet area. The air conditioning was great. Would recommend this location if you are trying to stay closer to Gion. It is further from the train station, but everything is pretty spread out in Kyoto.

Wow, this was the most beautiful place we stayed in Korea. The view was absolutely amazing, the bed super comfortable, and the host very kind and went out of his way to make everything comfortable. The jacuzzi on the balcony was great, you can watch the sunset from there. The location was convenient, close to Jeju city but still on the more quiet coast. There are also nice restaurants nearby. I highly recommend everyone staying here! We would come back again.

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Staying in Keiko’s home was truly one of the greatest honors of our time in Japan—it was a highlight of the entire trip. From the moment we walked through her door, we were immersed in Japanese culture. Keiko greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel immediately at home. She patiently guided us through everything, showing us how to use her space with care and respect. Her home is a reflection of her spirit—graceful, serene, and full of beauty. I was deeply moved and inspired by her presence and generosity. Being invited to take part in her traditional Japanese tea ceremony was an experience I will never forget. She took the time to teach us the rituals and meaning behind each step, explaining everything with such clarity and heart. This is the perfect spot to stay in Osaka! The home is absolutely beautiful and well worth the price. We arrived to a fully stocked fridge, towels, and a lovely home. The host is very helpful, generous, and responsive!

Beautiful traditional Japanese house, very close by walking to the train station, where you can get to the best places in Kyoto. It has the essentials towels, body soap, shampoo and conditioner. and Mr Akio a very friendly host.

We have just had an amazing 5 days at Amane's house. It is located right on the waterfront and if you don't want to swim, you can enjoy the view across the water to Beppu. Amane and her husband were very welcoming and generous. There is a driveway down to the house but it is very narrow and you are likely to scratch your car so you leave your car in the car park 150 metres away. However, the best part is that they loan you a small buzz box car to carry your luggage, groceries or just yourselves up and down the hill. Supermarkets and restaurants are just a 5 to 10 minute drive. We will definitely pay a return visit one day.

Lovely space! Provided so many amenities free of charge (water, slippers, cotton pads, etc.) which was very helpful! In a more peaceful area of kyoto with plenty of restaurants around and walkable to many places

It is a beautiful compact house in a lovely neighbourhood. The house is well designed and has lovely details, including a pretty roof terrace, where you can enjoy the view of the city with a drink. Metro is nearby. Don’t miss the Institute of Nature Study nearby, it is open to the public. Kan is a great host!

We stayed at Toshie’s designer house for 4 nights. The architecturally fantastic home is in a quiet neighbourhood a short busride from Gakuenmae station, with quick train access to Nara, Kyoto and Osaka. Toshie picked us up from the station, which was appreciated as it might have been tricky to find the house ourselves. She gave us instructions for local transport and amenities within walking distance. Toshie is an exceptional host who is genuinely interested in her guests making sure they have an enjoyable stay. During our visit we needed medical attention and Toshie was extremely helpful with taking us to the hospital and pharmacy. We felt very safe having her as a translator. One night we were able to join Toshie and her husband for dinner and also met their daughter who has a ceramics studio in the house. Thank you Toshie for your hospitality, kindness and generosity. We had an absolutely wonderful time. I highly recommend this house for a unique base to explore the Nara area.

Nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Location gives fantastic access to the city through the Green Line (Karasuma). Easy to access from Kyoto Station shinkansen. Less than ten minute walk to the Aeon Mall. All facilities in working order. The washing machine is very useful in extending the usefulness of your carried clothing.

This is just the best place to stay. Beautiful surroundings provide detailed interior facilities and entertainment. I was surprised by the delicacy of the audio system, such as Siemens Maranz, and the surprising number of CDs to listen to. It was a very precious experience to spend two days in a place that made me want to live in beautiful Yeosu.

This was out favorite stay while we were in Japan. The hosts are amazing and super responsive and the house has everything you could possibly need. The separate washer and dryer was awesome and worked perfectly for our family. We ended up cooking breakfast in, as the kitchen is well equipped with everything you needed including coffee and sugar! It was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of central Kyoto but walkable to the river, Monkey Park, temples, shops, and restaurants. If this spot is available, don't hesitate and book it!

The co-host girl is very polite and welcoming, and the house courtyard is beautiful.There are supermarkets and vending machines at the door, and there are many restaurants on the street in front. Although it is not within a few streets, it is quiet and not crowded.

I was very satisfied!The host was very kind and check-in was smooth.The room was clean and stylish as shown in the photos, and I felt at home.It is fully equipped with a kitchen, washing machine, and other amenities you need for your stay, making it perfect for long-term stays.It was very helpful because I was carefully informed about the sightseeing spots and recommended restaurants in the area.I'd love to stay again!

The place was so pretty! The accommodation information text was sent in detail, so it was convenient to find and use the accommodation! The property is close to the East Sea, so it's in a very convenient location to go to the restaurants, prop shops, and the sea in Jongdal-ri!! The host even sent a text message to guide us to the hot water pool time, and we were able to spend a warm and fun time! I had a good rest in a warm and comfortable space😊

I went there on a family trip I enjoyed it so much before heading out. It was even better because there was a room for the child to play.

They also prepared wine and took care of even the smallest details, so I rested very comfortably. From the way, it's pretty, and even if you just drink coffee on the terrace while listening to the birds, the scenery is as good as healing.

Amazing Airbnb with pool and sauna. Super private and quiet area. Beautiful typical Japanese interior with a luxury touch. The host is very friendly and communication was easy. We would love to come visit again.
