A beautifully renovated warm character home just a few easy minutes walk to St Clair beach, surfing, cafes, bars, restaurants and Hot salt water pool (1st Oct-31st March). Self contained, well stocked studio adjoining our home with your own entrance, spacious large lounge with desk and TV (Netflix etc), bedroom (Queen bed), ensuite bathroom, full kitchen (fridge with small freezer, stove top and kitchen equipment. Cooking oils etc, as well as tea & coffee are supplied). Bus stops close by.

Sunny Stylish Spectacular views

Great location out on Otaga peninsula with beautiful views over the water. Secluded and peaceful and great for accessing all the wildlife activities on the peninsula while still being a short drive into city. Everything matched photos and nice having nespresso machine and milk frother for quick cappuccinos in morning while watching sunrise over water. We did have one small issue with hot water on 2nd morning (only one of 3 could take hot shower) but then no issue 3rd day. We believe it may have been because we did several loads of laundry night before and hot water tank may not have refilled sufficiently overnight. Tracey was very responsive and again was just a temporary issue but maybe keep an eye on laundry timing in mind. Of all the places we stayed on the South Island, this was the family favorite, given the location and views. Would highly recommend staying here and look forward to staying on return trip!

During our full-time travels we tend to seek out lodging that is unique, and the old converted Sunday school hall/now glasshouse was just that! Tessa is an exceptional host. We spent a wonderful evening with her learning about the transformation of this beautiful space. Furnishings are stylish and very comfortable. Location is in a quiet residential neighborhood, just a 5-10 minute drive to the St. Clair beach area, downtown Dunedin or the start of the scenic Otago Peninsula drive.

A modern glass dining table is complemented by two stylish chairs with light wooden frames and blue-patterned cushions. A decorative arrangement of dried pampas grass in a turquoise vase adds a touch of elegance to the center. Polished wooden floors create a warm ambiance.

Stunning view. Recently added covered back yard with plenty of outdoor shade and seating - even a grill. We loved sitting out there every day and enjoying the garden. Comfortable beds! I also appreciate there was a variety of pillows, especially the contour foam one was very comfy. Appreciate having a parking space at the top of the driveway so we did not have to park in the street. Everything is new and in great condition, - the furniture, the appliances. Plenty of kitchen pans and utensils. Margy was very responsive to all our questions and incredibly helpful. We hope to return to Dunedin and will definitely stay here again!

We stayed 3 nights at Clare's The Treehouse and no regrets. Beautiful home nestled among the trees, tugged in a quiet neighbourhood, really giving a treehouse vibe. The house is beautifully decorated and cozy. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. And it is a short drive from the CBD and St Clair Beach. Communication with Clare is a breeze. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Treehouse.
