You can reach the summit of this mountain that overlooks Cali after a strenuous forty five to one hour climb. The view is worthy of it, though. You will be able to see the city, the Cauca River valley and surrounding mountains from the top. It's recommended to climb only from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The earlier you climb, the more pleasant the experience because you'll have the cooler hours of the morning,

Iglesia La Merced is in the midst of the colonial quarter in Cali downtown. It's a XVI century church close to Museo La Merced, where you will have an idea of how it was when Colombia was "Virreinato de Nueva Granada" a Spanish colony. Nearby you will also find plenty of other colonial and republican buildings, plazas and churches. A great place to walk around.

Nearby you will also find plenty of other colonial and republican buildings, plazas and churches. A great place to walk around.
You can hire a taxi for a fifteen o twenty minute ride to the top of Cristo Rey (Christ the King) mountain. From there you will have a wonderful view of Cali from a different perspective than the one from Las Tres Cruces, another sightseeing high point.
