This is the place I recommend to all my friends and family to try for the best pub grub you will ever have. Combined with the stunning views and fabulous food, well worth stopping off after a climb up Gummers How!

Fell Foot Park is a country park, formerly the grounds of a Victorian house, situated beside Windemere Lake, and in the ownership of the National Trust. Family-friendly spot with cafe and space/facilities for games, picnics, swimming and boating. Great for letting a bit of steam off. Also the location of the South Lake, 5km Park Run, which starts at 9am every Saturday! You will have to pay for parking if you are not a National Trust member, but you can park for free on the road, just outside the park.
