Parks & Nature

At 5,157 acres, Portland's Forest Park is the largest urban forest in the United States. A great way to get a hike in, and not have to drive too far to get there! One of the easiest and most accessible entrances is on 29th and NW Upshur, just beyond the Pearl neighborhood.

A must see! This 190 acre park features picnic areas, basketball court, dog off-leash area, horseshoe pit, trails both paved and unpaved, playground, tennis court, volleyball court, and a reservable wedding site. Included in this welcome guide is a map of the park. The fastest way to get there is take 76th south, and then turn right on Yamhill, and left on 69th. If you are feeling up for it, take the steps all the way to the top for an incredible view of the city!
