Here at the market you can find great souveniers upstairs at almost wholesale prices. Some of the best rattan and cane and bamboo products you will find anywhere in the Philippines at a fraction of the price of Manila. If you need to change money downstairs inside the market are 2 very good money changers (Lindas is our recommendation) who will give you a very good rate. Avoid the money changers on the outside edge of the markets

Great gardens with 100's of varieties of plants just a 20 minute drive from the apartment. well worth the drive there with only a 20 peso admission fee. Dont forget to stop at the Science Museum on the way back which is on the same road.

Sightseeing

Fantastic Taoist Temple set on the side of the hill with sweeping views over San Fernando City and the ocean. Just a 6 minute drive from the apartment or you can get a trike for 50 pesos or take any jeepney at the main road going into San Fernando. Highly recommended

Right next to the lighthouse is the Wallace Air Station which was set up by the USA and then taken over and run by the Philippine Military.
