Niagara-on-the-Lake - They have great wood fired pizza, a delectable Lindt milk chocolate creme brûlée, and the lemon ricotta cheesecake with raspberry coulis is incredible! (and we're not typically dessert people!)

Wainfleet - This is our go-to restaurant for take out. It doesn't look like much but a fantastic chef works in this tiny motel kitchen and he pumps out delicious meals for such reasonable prices. Our favourites are the pastas (usually something angel hair with a cream sauce, a meat, and all the best toppings) and the burger and fries (for $13!). They also have a number of daily and weekly specials. Check their hours as they are sometimes closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Parks & Nature

Niagara Falls - Great hiking trail and bouldering spot along the Niagara River. Trees, rocks, moss, water: it's amazing! This is the perfect place to hike on a hot day because the trees provide excellent shade cover. This hike involves many stairs, both natural and man-made. There is also a large park with picnic tables, washrooms, and spectacular views. (Niagara Glen is also known as Niagara Gorge)

Fenwick - Our local park is a 4-minute walk down the street. It has a great playground and a splash pad for the children. There are also baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a basketball court, and tennis (requires membership) and pickleball courts (requires membership). The local Lions Club hosts a fish fry every other Friday in the summer and there are various weekend events throughout the year.

Niagara Falls - Viewing Niagara Falls is a must-do if you've never seen it. There are pricey boat tours, behind the falls attractions, etc. available. Afterward, there is lots of touristy stuff to do nearby on Clifton Hill if you like that sort of thing: Midway, wax museum, haunted houses, casino, and many restaurants and other attractions
