My absolute favourite bakery! Visit around 3pm and you might be lucky to get two for one loaves of their amazing bread (if they haven’t sold out). Try a lemon curd croissant (amazing!!). Also fantastic coffee.

Drive through the predator proof gates into the bird sanctuary and you can walk to Anchor Bay - exquisite soft white sand, gorgeous little caves and rock pools and lovely clear water for swimming. You may even see a Takehe (a very large rare NZ endemic bird) if you are very lucky.
