Food Scene

You would do yourself an injustice by staying in Leichhardt and not eating beautiful Italian cuisine here. When you're finished, wander upstairs to the full licensed Palace Cinema.

A beautiful neighbourhood cafe serving fantastic food and coffee. Despite being a hidden gem, it can get busy on weekends so get in early. Enjoy a lovely walk through the streets of Annandale and Leichhardt en route.

In my view, one of the best restaurants in Sydney. Asian fusion at its best. You'll need to book, or expect to wait up to 2 hrs, but it's worth it. Enjoy.

If you have time, drive to the Hunter Valley and go wine tasting. I grew up here, and this particular wine maker was my neighbour.

Sightseeing

Can't really come to Sydney without a walk around the beautiful circular quay. My recommendation is to have an early morning jog or walk around here before it gets busy with tourists or city centre working types.

Far better than Bondi. Definitely worth a swim in summer. If you're feeling active, walk or jog the Bondi to Bronte path along the ocean.
