Great morning place to meet. They have coffee, a nice selection for lunch and Amy's Ice Cream as well. There are some games that you can choose from if you want to sit and play. Right in downtown Round Rock on main street. Easy walk to the library and the splash park on the square.

Another Austin bred eatery. Breakfast friendly all about the fresh food and organic concoctions. Another win for families, there is a playground. Pancakes are awesome and they're open 24/7.

Food is good. A little pricier than other Mexican restaurants, BUT their bakery is awesome. If that's your thing.

Great for kids! There's a modest playground area for the kids to run off steam while you enjoy a beer. I love the chicken sandwich!! My kid has moved on from the tiny hat to the big hat burger. Food quality is what brings me here.

The brass tap has some great bands and a really rustic feel to it. High ceilings help to keep it feeling airy and comfortable, even on a busy night.

It's always a good time at a piano bar! I would recommend reserving tables though. It gets pretty packed on the weekends.

Parks & Nature

Huge park! Lots of fun zip lines and climbing structures. It's by water that you can kayak in if you want. Near there is Hat Creek and Salt Lick (both have playgrounds) if you want to stop for a bite to eat after.

In Austin's tradition of keeping it weird, you can experience, for free, the opportunity to watch A LOT of bats fly up from under the Congress Avenue Bridge in Austin. We took a hike ending with the crazy decision to wait and watch for bats to fly. We didn't happen to see many that day, but we may go again. Here's a link to many ways you might want to experience this rare adventure, including an up-to-date phone number to find out their current status-https://freefuninaustin.com/how-to-see-bats-in-austin/

Georgetown's Blue Hole is located just off I-35 and six blocks north of Georgetown's town square, the swimming hole is as easy to get to as it is beautiful. There are many points of entry and lots of places to lie on a floatation device, hang by the rocks or picnic in grass. Blue Hole is great because it has 3 tiers of mini waterfalls and each has its own depth and current for all ranges of swimmers. You could bring a little grill and tent if you wanted. We love it!

I was really pleasantly surprised by this botanical garden. There really seems to be one of everything here. Lots of little hidden paths, waterfalls, a bug hotel and a dinosaur. Admission is: $1 children/seniors, $2 Austin residents, $3 non-residents

The best place to get 360 views of Austin and the surrounding area. The stairs are brutal but there is a more gradual way up if you walk left of the stairs. Wear good shoes-it's gravely. Also be sure to stand on the cement picnic table to get a really good view/pic.

Old Settlers Park is huge and offers so much to do! Here, you can play disc golf, cricket, baseball, softball, soccer, football, tennis, volleyball, go fishing, and more. There are currently seven playgrounds within Old Settlers, but here’s some exciting news for those looking for an awesome place to play: the Joanne Land Playground has a brand new playscape! It features the most unique playground equipment, complete with a zipline! This playground is new and quite popular, so expect to see a lot of people there if you go at prime times.

This park is RIDICULOUS! Its such a great area for the kids to run around. Also great hiking, biking trails that run along a creek. Awesome green belt area. The park has a race track that kids can take bikes, scooters or anything to "race" around the track. There's plenty of picnic tables to have lunch or snack at. You could rent a party area if you want as well. No shortage of swings, zip lines, sand dirt, it goes on and on. It's neat how it starts on the far right as a toddler/little kid area and as you go farther left it goes more into the big kid area. They even built a little pretend town with stop lights, sidewalks, an HEB, bank, police station, pet store and other shops.

I never lived very an IKEA store before moving here. They have everything you could want to set up a home, which you'll find scattered around our home and lots of other bits and pieces including a great restaurant about half way through the store trail. I love the Norwegian meatballs! They even have childcare while you shop.

Great outdoor outlet mall! They have a train that runs for the kis to ride. A modest food court, funnel cake food truck among others. Surrounding the outlet mall are plenty of restaurants, an HEB, IKEA, Outdoor World (super fun just for the kids to look at!) . There's not much for wanting in this area. It has almost everything! Only a 10 minute drive.

If you love Baseball you must stop and take in a game here. This team is a Texas Rangers affiliate and getting to see some of these young players making their dreams come true is a fun experience to be a part of. Not a bad seat in the house!
