Food Scene

Cactus is a fun place for people watching while enjoying a great meal. Food is Tex-Mex and portions are generous. I always default to the Green Enchilada. Many dishes are gluten free. Can be noisy.

Best pizza in town, but get there early as they tend to run out of dough. Space is tiny, so take out is often best option. Outdoor patio has view of beach, nice place to be on a warm summer evening.

Everything Else

Much beloved, old-fashioned kind of bakery. We go for guilty pleasures and our favorites are the donuts and maple bars.

Olmsted planned park. It's a lovely park to explore and a great way to spend a couple of hours. The Japanese garden is worth a visit, there is a small fee, the rest of the Arboretum is free.

One of the neighborhood's oldest establishments. Where my dad used to drink when he was a teenager (Don't tell!) Sandwiches, beer and wine. Pool tables, and large fireplace.
