The re-creation of the 42-foot statue Athena is the focus of the Parthenon just as it was in ancient Greece. The building and the Athena statue are both full-scale replicas of the Athenian originals. A great park in the middle of town with a few walking trails and very often times, free music. Check the web for events!

the FLOWERS!!! Set in the outskirts of the city, this botanical park is one of its sparkling jewels. The drive out to the site alone is precious eye candy, set in an area of historic and traditionally designed multi-million dollar homes, parks, and green pastures.
The gardens are on the grounds of a restoration in progress. The palatial home was a private estate, complete with meticulously groomed grounds and gardens, herb gardens, sculpture gardens, blossoming trees, and opulent beds of seasonal flowers which are a sight to behold.
