The bakery (by Sidewalk Citizen baker) has fantastic handmade 3 ingredient sourdough bread! They also make yummy sandwiches, lunch side dishes, and tasty treats. As a bonus, the attached market has fresh organic produce and health conscious groceries. If you are vegan or have specific allergies (e.g. gluten, dairy, etc) then this is a good spot to go for hard-to-find grocery items.

Nose Hill is a very large park in the heart of Calgary's northwest that offers many kilometers of walking, hiking, and biking trails. You often see deer, coyote, fox, and birds here while enjoying a natural escape within the city limits. It's also a great spot to go for a wide vista of the city, including the mountains in the west, the downtown core, and the coming/going of airplanes to the east.

This is the closest climbing gym to our house and one of the original locations in the city. It's less impressive than the new Rocky Mountain gym (under same ownership) on the west side of town. However, if you want a quick escape that's only 10min drive away then this will still provide kids and adults with a challenging workout.
