Locals use a stop for ice cream at Granny's on the way home from the lake to console kids (and even adults) who are sad to end their time at the lake. You have to get the soft serve ice cream, just look for the line of people at the window out front! You'll pass by Granny's a mile or so before Maple Grove Road. They also have a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Everyone in the family will find something they love on the menu, great American classics! Ask for the owner Mark, and tell him Oscar and Jennie said, "Happy Birthday Old Man!" 364/365 days it won't be his birthday, but he'll probably be thrilled anyway! Or he may give you grief throughout the rest of your meal...

Parks & Nature

The hike to Marymere falls is 1.5 miles round trip. The majority of it is pretty flat, but the last bit is quite a lot of steps/stairs. Worth it to see the beautiful falls! Great for a rainy day activity because almost the entire hike is under a tree canopy!

This trail is a great one for the whole family. They are working on making it handicap accessible, it is pretty level. Bring your swimsuits to jump off the bridge or boulders at Devil's Punchbowl!
