Ways to save
Save time and order online
Order online from the local grocery store Chedraui, Sam's Club, fresh vegetables from DAC Playa del Carmen, and anything else from Amazon Mexico or Mercado Libre. Rappi and Uber Eats are fairly new in the area so they might have limited availability. All these places/services deliver straight to our door and some have same day delivery. We use them frequently and they are reliable.

They do not take cash and require a pre-authorization on your card to guarantee the booking.
Getting around
If you are not renting a car...
We highly recommend renting a car since public transportation is not reliable, and there are no rideshare app services in Playa del Carmen. Taxis can be a little tricky since their prices are not fixed and only a few accept credit cards. You may try calling or using their app "Radio Taxi PDC" for service. If need be, once you are staying with us, we can give you the contact info of a taxi used by some of our neighbors.
Getting around
Private transportation from/to the airport
We have been using "Cancún Airport Taxi" for a while every time we have to go or come to the airport. They are fairly reliable and use combis that can transport groups. Ask us for their contact info.
