Walking up or around Mt Maunganui is a must do! Walking round is approx 40 mins with beautiful views of the ocean and Matakana island. It’s a flat walk and quite often you can see seals on the rocks.
Walking up is an hour return and the views are phenomenal! It’s best to wear sturdy
footwear and carry a drink bottle.
