After you park the car, there is a short walk to the castle. It's an old Venetian fortress on top of a hill, founded by Byzantines. Lovely view from the top. During the summer season, it opens till 3.45 p.m.

Lovely views, nice breeze up at the top. You can drive most of the way up the mountain and park your car by the masts. Follow the track off, past the picnic area, and downhill a bit. You bend round to the right and there are stairs off to the right. Follow them up and then climb over the rocks and you’re at the summit. It’s a steep walk, but reasonably short.

The impressive chamber inside the cave. You can feel like in the dwarf's hall. The stalactites and stalagmites are like the dragon's teeth. Safe to go with children. About 10 min of a slow walk around.

Impressive lake inside the massive cave, a place of worship for ancient Greeks. The boat trip takes ~10 minutes. The water has unique colours and is breathtaking in combination with the sun. It's required to use stairs to get there. It can be crowded, so it's better to visit in the early morning.

Not too big, just next to the bigger Makris Gialis beach, separated by some rocks. With a few showers, changing rooms, a toilet, and a fair-priced bar.

Myrtos is a magnificent beach with truly crystal-clear turquoise waters. Myrtos has been described as "one of the most dramatic beaches in Greece", with its "mile-and-a-half long arc of dazzling white pebbles." It was used as the location for the mine explosion episode in the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin.

Another amazing Kefalonia beach. But more out of the way and less known than some (i.e. Myrtos), so not so busy.

Great red sand beach. You can even take the clay from the cliff and with the salty water create mud to treat your face and body skin.
