Hiking
If you love hiking, you will enjoy our Vulcan Trail atop the mountain in the city ! Only about a 15 minute walk from cottage front door or a 2 minute drive to trail entrance…The trail is about 2 miles long atop the mountain overlooking the city of Birmingham, but nestled into the woods. Easy level hiking and feels like your miles away from concrete/city. Trail ends at the Vulcan statue where a view above the city can be seen for miles around.
Excellent place for hiking in the beauty of the thick woods on the top crest of red mountain. Amazing views and easy level walking, running and cycling. About 2 miles long and leads you to the highest point above the city at the Vulcan statue where a 360 view can be seen for miles around.
Excellent trip for tourists to see Birmingham from the mountain… Entrance right here in the neighborhood !
