Ratanà is a “Modern Osteria”, perhaps the first of this kind in Italy, conceived to make the difference and contribute to the development of a sustainable food culture. At Ratanà we offer a modern interpretation of the traditional Milanese and Lombard cuisine. Chef Cesare Battisti and his staff revisit the culinary traditions of this region with creativity and a contemporary touch. Menus fuse elements of our local culinary heritage with the freedom of interpretation typical of the modern cooking. An uncompromising respect for the food commodites and a tireless research for purity of flavour are our points of departure. Our point of arrival is the finished dish, clearly reflecting the aromas and flavours of its single ingredients.

One of the oldest gestures, perhaps even the oldest, most noble…eating : so concrete and essential that it combines need and pleasure. The heart of Il Liberty begins to beat from here, creating and building healthy, positive energy that encourages a constant desire for innovation and improvement. We mix traditions with contaminations, just like the history of Italy that has been influenced by many different dominations for centuries and centuries. Foreign people brought their cultures and enriched our with ingredients, preparations, combinations and have made it grow to become the first in the world for variety.

Born in 2020 as a pop-up restaurant, from September of the same year Bentoteca became a permanent restaurant that combined fine dining with a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. Our philosophy is based on total respect for high quality Italian raw materials, transformed using typically Japanese techniques and processes. The aromas and flavors perfectly condense the two souls of chef Tokuyoshi, his Japanese origins and his passion for Italy, in a surprising combination, halfway between East and West. To complete the experience, a selection of natural wines, and more, capable of amplifying and enhancing the taste of each course. Welcome to Bentoteca!

In the very heart of Milano, you can indulge in a magnificent French bistro’s atmosphere; classic in furniture, modern in design, and with an international flavour. Architects Laura Sartori Rimini and Roberto Peregalli reinterpreted the essential elements of a certain kind of French décor, such as the gentleman’s club-style bookcases with shelves of Morocco leather-bound gold-stamped books, to convey a cosy familiarity.

Frades was inspired by the desire of representing the excellence of Sardinia by three brothers from Orani: Fabio (born in 1989), Roberto (born in 1991) and Valerio (born in 1997). Frades was born as a workshop with a kitchen, aiming to rediscover and spread the social and cultural role of the workshop, showcasing food and wine excellences of the island in one of its most exclusive scenarios: Costa Smeralda. Frades also represents the union between brothers and the value of family. It is a symbol of the sense of belonging to Sardinia and the love for its cultural, environmental, social and enogastronomic heritage that our island holds, with its infinite potential for development to be exploited by employing the resourcefulness of young people. We design a sensory journey through the flavors of Sardinia, so that every bite and every sip are evocative experiences capable of conveying the authenticity of our land. Just let us know in which area of Sardinia you would like to go, we will take you a on a special enogastronomic tour. This is Frades, this is our philosophy. Bene Bennios!

Rovello 18 was born from an old family tradition. In 1950 the founder Pierino gave his guests a simple menu of local dishes according to the regional foods and seasonal produce; that’s why he was awarded a well-deserved Michelin Star identification. Later, Pierino’s daughter Patrizia, carried on Rovello’s tradition of good food. Who ever had the pleasure of meeting her remembers the perfect combination of fresh, delicious ingredients, always the best in her dishes, and the wonderful hospitality that she offered. Her home was always full of great typical dishes such as lasagna, coniglio al forno, etc. In 2002 Cinzia embarked on a new adventure: with Gualtiero, partner in life and noted wine connoisseur, she opened the Rovello 18 restaurant where wonderful recipes were accompanied with one of the best wine selections you can find in Milan. Nowadays Rovello 18 is recognized as one of the best trattoria in Italy thanks to the exquisite ingredients and the great selection of over 800 wines.

Brunello's kitchen brigade, who makes the search for balance, between savory and sweet components, bitter and sour, between the crunchy and creamy consistency, is the greatest aspiration of its kitchen. The menu offers dishes made respecting the seasonality of products. Never miss the great classics such as "risotto alla Milanese" and our workhorse "La vera vera cotoletta alla milanese" award-winning, among other things, winner of the title "Best cutlet" in the 2015 edition of Gambero Rosso. The wine cellar is composed of over two hundred labels, selected with great care by sommelier Lorena Manna. The wine list has names from all over Italy, with particular attention to Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. Big labels but also small niche producers make it a careful selection, current and able to satisfy all palates. The wine list in 2013 won the "Leccio d'Oro" award in Montalcino.

The Porta Venezia district offers a lot of dining opportunities. The whole area is characterized by the presence of bars and restaurants which make it particularly attractive. It’s not just about Italian restaurants but rather it is precisely the multicultural scenario that makes it a neighborhood that cannot be missed when you happen to be in Milan and certainly at People’s Place, Tommy Hilfiger’s bar, contributes to the vibrant food scene of the Porta Venezia district. The bar was recently renovated. It was in July 2020, when the whole pandemic seemed to have gone away and a People’s Place re-opened to the public after an important re-styling which aimed at highlighting the three concepts that animate the Tommy Hifliger’s brand: sustainability, circular economy and inclusiveness.
