Sightseeing

Make sure NOT to bring a backpack, no matter how small. You can wear a giant messanger bag over one shoulder, but their rule is this: "TWO STRAPS, HAVE TO USE A LOCKER." These lockers require a finger print to re-open, which failed us last time.

Not a highlight for us to visit, but is an important must see. Prefer visiting at night when the lights illuminate and the crowds are not as overwhelming. See after a late afternoon walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, or after a day of visiting the Statue of Liberty.

Food Scene

Love the vibe here. Love the food. Love the service. Currently my favorite restaurant in NYC. Great for any size group. Main room with dangling chandelier is gorgeous, however, we get placed in "library" area so we can actually carry a conversation without raising voices.

Arts & Culture

If you must pick only one museum to visit during your stay in NYC, this is the ONE! I love visiting evening hours on weekends, or show up early. We usually grab Halal food from in front and have picnic when weather good, but the buffet at the Cafeteria is convenient and good. If have time, the atmosphere for Petrie Court Cafe is great for brunch / lunch, but make reservations.
