Lovely series of trails features 19th century gardens, rolling meadows, beautiful forests, and one of the largest naturally-occurring stands of mountain laurel in Massachusetts. It's the perfect place for a walk, bike ride or picnic. https://www.mass.gov/locations/maudslay-state-park

Favorite beaches

The most beautiful, quiet beach!! Parking is limited so plan to get there early or late in the day. It's worth the extra planning! It's about a 25 minute drive from the house. https://www.mass.gov/locations/sandy-point-state-reservation

About 30 minutes from the house, this is a regular spot we trek to in the summer. A surfer's favorite! The beach is flat and long. Try to time for low tide to get the most out of the beach.

The beaches within the park are the best! Just 10-minutes from the house- lot 1 always has parking. If you drive a bit further, you will find a variety of parking options on the left (every few miles there's about 10 spots on the left) which will give you much more privacy. We always think it's worth the extra drive!
