Great state park on the South end of Ithaca - offering several waterfalls and hiking opportunities. Swimming is offered seasonally in a natural swimming area and has several barbecue areas. There is a $7 day pass for each vehicle from 10 to 6 on weekends.

Buttermilk Falls is the closest state park to the house and offers picturesque waterfalls and gorges on it's 1.5 mile (round -trip) hike.

Taughannock Falls is about 10 miles away on the West side of Cayuga Lake. The park offers Swimming (in the Lake), barbecue areas and a 215-foot waterfall. If you do visit Taughannock, there are also many great places to grab a bite to eat in downtown Trumansburg.

Stewart Park is a beautiful park on the edge of Cayuga Lake. This park allows for a great view of the lake and offers areas to barbecue. You also have access to the waterfront trail which spans around 5 miles of the Lake. Great spot for biking, walking or running. Free parking.
