Getting around
Security and safety precautions
Visitors should only use the freeway (N2) when travelling from the airport. Avoid areas such as Nyanga, Gugulethu, Khayelitsha, Mitchells Plain. Also use apps such as buzzer that will notify you of safety issues, it also enables you to log an alert. Do not leave any valuables visible in the car and always keep the doors of the vehicle locked. Sadly do not walk on Table Mountain, Lions head and Signal hill on your own, best to join an organised hiking group or tour companies specialising in mountain hikes. Keep valuables such as hand bag and cell phone on you at all times.
