1. Drive to the New Carrollton station and take the metro into the city, DC has a pretty good public transit system, so no need for a car.
2. See the monuments at night, there are fewer crowds and the heat is more bearable.
3. Have Ethiopian food for dinner if you are a fan, DC has the largest concentration of Ethiopians in the US so restaurants are plentiful and delicious.
