TOP SITES & ATTRACTIONS

Bayfront Park is a true gem located right across the street from our place. This park offers views of Biscayne Bay and Downtown Miami on tree-lined paths and open spaces, as well as activities such as movie nights and free yoga. The park is home to the biggest New Year’s Eve bash in South Florida, and Bayfront Park Amphitheatre regularly plays host to touring headliners and music festivals in an open-air setting. The best part — it’s all just steps. GETTING THERE Spanning nearly four city blocks, Bayfront Park stretches down the opposite side of Biscayne Boulevard from our place. Getting to Bayfront Park is simple: cross Biscayne Boulevard using the sidewalk and you’re there. If you’re looking for tour buses, they’re located at the north end of the park, while the kids’ playground is toward the south end, and the amphitheatre is right in the middle, directly across. OUTDOOR CONCERTS BY THE BAY At Bayfront Park Amphitheatre The Klipsch Amphitheatre has played host to Robert Plant, The Cure, music festivals, etc. Choosing our place in Miami is the best option for those visiting Miami to see a show at the bayfront venue — you can avoid parking issues altogether because it’s right across the street. There’s plenty to see and do downtown when the show's over and your base is at arm’s length. The arena has a capacity of 10,000, and its open-air setting on the Biscayne Bay is made complete with excellent acoustics, which provides a relaxing show space in downtown Miami. The amphitheater is located in the center of the park and offers full concessions, ATM’s, reserved seating and general lawn admission with chairs available for rental. Check out the amphitheater’s upcoming event calendar to reserve your tickets. ANNUAL CELEBRATIONS Music, Fireworks, and Fun Every year, Bayfront Park throws the biggest New Year’s Eve party in Miami, with a stunning firework display over the Biscayne Bay and live music. Previous celebrations have been headlined by Pitbull, with all activities free and open to the public. The park also puts on a stellar 4th of July bash that includes live music, a beer garden, activities for the whole family, and of course, a firework show. There’s no better spot in Miami to celebrate! At our place Miami, you’re just steps away from all the action. HOP-ON, HOP-OFF Miami Tour Bus Want to see famous Miami landmarks without worrying about traffic, parking, or maps? Big Bus Tours offers hop-on, hop-off tour sightseeing options that include the iconic South Beach, Coconut Grove, Little Havana, Downtown Miami and more. Buses depart from the north side of Bayfront Park with different tour routes that run from morning until evening and depart every half-hour. The company also offers night bus tours. See more info at the Big Bus Tour website.

THE ADRIENNE ARSHT CENTER Miami’s Premier Concert Hall The Arsht Center is Florida’s largest performing arts center and one of the biggest in the United States, with three main venues and an outdoor plaza space. The impressive complex opened in 2006 but still has a touch of history: a part of the 1929 Sears, Roebuck & Co. Art Deco tower is prominently displayed, which predates the Art Deco architecture found in South Beach. The Arsht Center offers many free, community-based performances and programmed series including the Flamenco Festival and its concert series “Live at Knight,” with touring acts and performances year-round. Directions General Information GETTING THERE The complex is located on Biscayne Boulevard just a mile north from our place Miami. Both parking and valet parking at the Arsht Center are painless, however, public transportation is also readily available. Visitors can catch the Metromover train, which runs until midnight, giving guests ample time to get back after an evening show. Catch the electrically-powered transit from College Bayside Station, located on NE 3rd Street (from our place, take a left on Biscayne Bay, then another left on NE 3rd). Take the Metromover five stops until you reach the Adrienne Arsht Center station. Head west on NE 15th Street and take a left on Biscayne Bay Blvd. The Arsht Center is less than two blocks down on the right. BOOK YOUR STAY A VARIETY OF SHOWS Performances at The Arsht Center Genres are wide-ranging at the center, with off-broadway tours, dance, jazz, theatre, opera, classical music and more. The center also plays host to programmed series, such as Jazz Roots, Theater Up Close, the Miami Lights Project’s Here and Now Festival, and the Ziff Dance Series. The center is non-profit and community-based, offering inclusive classes and free events for everyone to enjoy. See the center’s upcoming event calendar. BRAVA Dining at The Arsht Center Book your fine dining experience with Chef Brad Kilgore, James Beard finalist and named “New Best Chef” by Best Chefs America.
