This was the holiday home of Agatha Christie who was born and grew up in Torquay. It's a superb place she escaped to for rest and relaxation.

This cinema is quite an experience. Don't be put off by the fact that it looks run down and appears to be something an episode of Scooby Doo. It is one of the cheapest cinemas in the country and endearingly eccentric.

Parks & Nature

Cockington is a green space right in the of The English Riviera. There is a village which is picture postcard pretty and the country park at the heart of which sits the Court which was the home of the Mallock family. On a summer day there is nothing like a stroll around the park and idling some time at the craft studios located immediately behind the Court.

Getting Around

For anyone using buses around The Bay, Torquay harbour is a key focal point. If you are unable to get directly to your destination on a single bus then the chances are that a change at Torquay harbour will get you there on two buses. The harbour is also where the boat companies operate from seasonally. This is roughly from April to the end of October.
