A quick stroll up Chapman Rd to the main road, and you will see Blues Restaurant on your right hand side. It’s one of the more upmarket options, but has a great reputation, excellent food and a renowned wine list. Well known for its seafood options.

A longer walk will take you into the township of Middleton where you can chose from the Middleton Tavern, the bakery in the IGA, or the ever popular with locals and tourists alike, Pipi at Middleton. This little gem of a café has a seasonally changing menu, and is only open for Breakfast or Lunch, but what’s on the menu is ALWAYS delicious.

One of Goolwa’s newest restaurants is incredibly popular for good reason. If you want to eat here, please ring in and book early! The best Thai food available in the region, hands down.

Is this South Australia’s most famous bakery? Quite possibly…. . The Port Elliot Bakery has developed an almost cult like following, and its not unusual to see long lines stretching down the street during holiday periods. Our tip? Go early – get your pies and pasties in the morning and heat them up in the oven at home. Don’t miss out on trying their donut of the month – its always opulent, over the top and simply fabulous – but what are holidays for if not a little self-indulgence?

The Fleurieu is full of great seafood, but the Flying Fish has a well-deserved reputation as one of the best. You can eat in or grab takeaway through their side window and sit next door in the spacious park, admiring the ocean view and surfing activity while your kids play on the playground.

Simple honest pub food, but the Royal’s big draw card is its playground for the kids which you can supervise from your table. A great option for Families.

Hiding away in an unassuming shed is some of the best coffee you’ll taste in the region! DeGroots has become a popular hotspot for those in the know, but it still feels like you’re onto something that only a few know about.

The Coorong is not only one of the most biologically diverse and ecologically important regions in South Australia, it is spectacularly beautiful. There are several ways to tour this gorgeous piece of coast where the Murray meets the ocean – by foot, by boat or by kayak. It’s a must visit stretch of the Fleurieu.
