Old school fishing pier with upstairs indoor/outdoor seating on the bayside. Great lunch spot and cheap beer. Nice place to come in the AM with a coffee and watch people fish. Often see dolphins, skate and manatees while eating. Bring your rod and cast a line from the first floor!

Some nice hiking trails with a tower to get a birds eye view of your surroundings: the bay, Tampa, AMI, etc. Kayaking is available - if you rent from one of the local shops (Just 4 Fun rentals is around the corner from the unit) they will drop off and pick up at the preserve.

There is no shortage of restaurants and beautiful beaches to visit during your stay - explore them all! Bradenton has some nice restaurants also including the Anna Maria Oyster Bar on the pier, the Blue Marlin (nicer quaint spot for fresh seafood), the Bridge Tender (more casual, music, outdoor bar). The old fishing village of Cortez just over the bridge has some great outdoor casual dining and fresh seafood, fishing charters, AP Bells fish market, etc.
