Get away from the city noise on a stroll down Guildford Lane, located between Queen and Sutherland streets in Melbourne's financial district. Take in the historic red brick and stone buildings rising up on either side, and then stop in for a bite at chic city eateries like Krimper and Rustica Canteen. Once home to a swathe of indie art galleries, the lane is now becoming more residential and is part of the city's new Green Your Laneways campaign, which saw the brick walls brightened up with hanging plants, window boxes, creepers and a giant mural by Mike Makatron.
