A great day out for anyone who is a rail enthusiast or wanting to learn more about the history of the railways. Full size trains to walk around and a fascinating insight to the life of a railway worker. Special events such as Lego weekends and Christmas craft stalls are always worth a visit. Next door is the McArthur Glen outlet centre which has been tastefully presented in part of the old railway factory. A great place to eat and shop. There are often outside stalls around school holidays and in the run up to Christmas, when the centre itself is beautifully decorated. Parking £1 for 4 hours.
