If you don’t mind a 20 minute drive, Bird Creek Farms is one of our personal favorites! They have a rotating menu with a ton of great options (I highly recommend the walleye bites), as well as an impressive list of beer and cocktails. The converted farm house and wraparound porch make it a great backdrop for a lunch or dinner.

Sick of the beach? (If that’s even possible) This beautiful nature trail is only about 15 minutes away! The 2 mile, well-maintained, nature trail also includes a small handicap-accessible paved loop. There are a number of markers on the path, as well as signs about trees and wildlife which are perfect to keep the kids engaged. It’s also dog-friendly, so bring your pup!
