Nice traditional pub just across the road! Staff are nice, and the food is good (get a pie and an ale, or a Sunday roast if you're lucky to be around on a Sunday!)

A very famous place used in many films and very popular with both locals and tourists, the perfect place to have a Full English Breakfast. Don't be scared of the queue - you normally get through very fast. You'll definitely be able to get a table (but only sit down after you've ordered your food).

Traveler advice

Getting around

Citymapper is a great app to show you how to get around!

Don't be afraid to take buses and underground, they all take simple contactless card payments. You don't need to buy any day tickets to save money, they calculate what the cheapest ticket would have been for you and charge you that amount at the end of the day (around 4am)! (If you are taking the Victoria line on the underground, I recommend walking to Pimlico station, as the station is much quieter and easier to navigate) You can also rent a bike from bike stations around the city!
Don't miss

Walking along the South Bank of the river

I would really recommend walking to Big Ben, then walking across the bridge, and walking along the river until you get to Tower Bridge. You can even get a boat on the way back (one way is around 10 pounds, they take also simple contactless card payments, make sure you tap in and tap out)!
