This is a bar/restaurant that serves my favorite gumbo in the city (I prefer chicken and andouille with shrimp and not all seafood). They also have amazing poboys. I love the breathtaking beef poboy and garlic oyster poboy. And, if you like beer order a draft beer in a frosted fish bowl mug. It is amazing on a hot day. And we have a lot of hot days. You will also run into friendly locals. Chat them up for their recommendations too.

French bistro in a beautiful setting. Great for brunch, lunch or dinner. I love the French onion soup. Cheese platter, pomme frites and hanger steak. Really, too many good things to name just one.

This is not a restaurant, but they have great wine and serve charcuterie plates. One of my favorite places to hang out. This is right next to 1000 figs and Café Degas, so you can stop for a glass of wine before dinner. The owners Beth and Kerry are awesome.
